With today's loss (inevitable now) they are on pace for about 98 or 99.

I see two benefits of rooting for 100 losses. First, it would put pressure on ownership to make sweeping changes -- something virtually everyone agrees is necessary (except Ricketts apparently).

Second, as sports is entertainment, I personally find a horrendous team more entertaining to discuss, rip, bash, etc. than a team that is simply mediocre. Fun bad.

The contrast of these teams is remarkable. The Phillies' pitching staff has Halladay, Lee, Hamels, Oswalt, and this guy -- who will be 6-1 after today with an ERA under 2.00. Talk about an embarrassment of riches. I guess we can expect Q-ball to talk about how proud he is to have stolen one game in the series.
