Another genius Quade move, Cubs have just rallied to tie the game at 4, 1st and second, no outs the Cubs have momentum and lets have one of the few .300 hitters this team has, Barney, try to bunt with fuckin Blake Dewitt up next.

Not only that, you have Soto at second, and Campana in the dugout, if you are going to bunt, at least put Campana in for Soto. No, instead Barney bunts,Soto is thrown out at 3rd. That pretty much ended the rally.

I noticed the same thing. Soto was out by a mile and that wasn't that terrible of a bunt. He would have had to put one down the 3rd base line that normally would net him a hit to get slow ass soto to 3rd. Sloth will do anything to set up his boy Dewitt. I would have hit and run with Barney but not bunted him in that particular situation. I understand bunting the runners over is fundamental baseball...but not with all of the variables of that situation.

Even though you should try to bunt towards the 3rd BM,when trying to move a guy to 3rd,RHP on the mound means bunt towards 1st base would have made the better play. Or am I wrong?

when trying to move a guy to 3rd,RHP on the mound means bunt towards 1st base, the bunt sucked.

The only way that play works is if the bunt isn't fielded at all.

Looks like Houston secured the # 1 pick. No wonder Ricketts was in the front row at games end. What a joke.

If QBall wasn't going to have Campana pinch run for Soto, at the very least he should have had him ready to go in for Soriano ("biggest no brainer in the history of the Earth"...John Shibley, Flagship Mortgage or whatever the fuck that company was)-- but Q didn't put Camapana in for Soriano until after DeWitt had already begun his at-bat.

Campana probly has a lot to do with the Cubs being 5-0 at home in extra innings

he always seems to be in the middle of things in the late innings at home
