Fuck, Spielberg is a fan...attach his name to it, get Michael Bay to direct, and then get someone else to direct the sequels...because I don't feel like seeing rehashed footage used from The Island during the final trench run on Alpha Halo (2)...

Just that, rumors...the closest it came to happening was a few years ago when Peter Jackson and Neill Blomkamp were signed on as Producer and Director...Weta made some sweet props (including a full, working, Warthog) but they only got used in the series of short films released around the same time as Halo 3...the movie lost funding and the two ended up making District 9 (very good move for them...but I would have rather seen them make Halo for my own selfish reasons)...

By the way, I still have hope for the Dark Tower... it's still real to me, dammit!

Also, do we really need two more Independence Days?

I assumed the series was over after 1. What happens? The aliens come for revenge?

i don't even get this...a "halo" movie would most likely yield at least a $100 million+ opening weekend. this movie has NO risk for anyone. it sounds like just typical Hollywood bullshit; and it's a shame because if done by the right people (who were attached) this could've been a damn good film.

but if the right people can't make it, then don't even bring this to light. i'd hate to see this go through the "doom" treatment.

i didn't look at the whole list, but i'm assuming most of it is regurgitated shit, sequels, remakes and more comic book movie adaptations. this has got to be one of the worst era's in film history, if not the worst. i used to think the 80's were, but that's starting to look better and better.

It's actually going to be the #94 Untitled Judd Apatow feature. It'll star Seth Rogan as North, Leslie Mann as BeBe, Elizabeth Banks as JenJen, and Jonah Hill as Jiggs.

Are they still planning on making Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp novels into a movie? That may be the first movie that makes me go to a movie theatre in the last 10 years or so but I'm sure hollywood will fuck that up too.
