There's so much going on, and so many poorly labeled threads. I forgot Speeps' hammering of Zack Attack. If you'll pardon the expression. I'm glad the wrestling section doesn't operate this way.

WR Rashied Davis, who had a couple options, has agreed to terms with the Detroit #Lions #Bears

Do the Bears have any WR's left?

Davis was a good Special Teams player but not really useful as a receiver.
S'long!

Why are the Patriots able to pick up dominant players for second day draft picks?

Sidney Rice is the goods

Babin is supposedly gone to the Eagles.

Nice work on the punter though

I agree.

Just seems like all their FA's are going elsewhere.

That wouldnt bother me if they had a replacement waiting. Kreutz is done but at least you know what you are going to get.

Mixed feelings there. He did better this past year than I thought he would. I think they'd have been worse without him. If we can get him cheap for a one year deal I'm good with him staying.

Kruetz going now feels like when the Packers let Favre go... they got 98% of what he had to give in his career, and he might go have a game with another team, but that's about it. Let's go ahead and get started building the next guy.

I wish there was a next guy on the roster.

Right. Another failure for Jerry. They are going to be forced to overpay Olin now.

Plenty of other centers available on the market. Any Guards on the roster or out on the market that can play center?

Right, there's guys. But Angelo must have thought that Kruetz was going to play FOREVER!

That's the thing.

There was no foresight for when Olin was done.

Bears agreed to terms with P Adam Podlesh on a five-year contract.
Re-signing Podlesh was one of the Jaguars' top priorities in free agency, but they lost him when Chicago's offer was "significantly" higher. One of the top young punters in football, the 28-year-old has legit 4.4 speed that could come in handy for fakes, and he finished top-five in the NFL in net average last season. With the Bears, Podlesh should be a big upgrade on Brad Maynard. Jul 28, 9:02 AM

I like this move alot. Now we can play some Dick Jauron field position football!!!!!!

Yes, I am fairly certain he was or will be and you don't have to call me a MOFO.

Probably not going to let Jay fondle his balls. The body language is about to get badder.

The Bears may already have that player on their roster in Edwin Williams. They like the 6-3, 313-pounder’s size and the fact that he started 39 straight games at center over his final two and a half years at Maryland. Williams appeared in four games with two starts as a rookie with the Redskins in 2009. He was claimed by the Bears off waivers Sept. 1 and played in five games with three starts this past season. All of his NFL experience so far has been at guard, but I think there’s a possibility he could eventually be moved to center. It’ll be interesting to see whether Williams gets any reps there in training camp and the preseason.

Olin is old but he is still the glue of the offensive line. He proved last year that he can still be one of the better center in the league when he doesn't have to do the job for 4 other players. Letting him go would be a mistake.
