Last year he had 4 sacks, 2FF and only played 11 games.
3 sacks the year before. Nothing like his 12 sack seasons with Tennessee.

Peppers had twice as many sacks, 43 solo tackles and 2 interceptions.

It's when you either outright lie about what someone said, or greatly exaggerate/distort what they said, in order to weaken their argument. Example:
