Last year I was perusing the Blockbuster, had the GF out of town and could finally rent some "Le Bad Cinema" without some type of summit meeting.

So I saw "An Evening with Kevin Smith", if you dont know who he is , AKA Silent Bob (My Avatar) and the writer of Clerks, Mall Rats, Clerks 2, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Hollywood (GREAT FLICK) and after you see this Video, one might think Good Will Hunting.

Anyways, from the CD cover it looked like Keving was going to try some Stand Up Comedy, so I figured I could try 30 minutes of it and a Dubay might even make it better.

Well, it was a College Speaking tour and it's a funny Mofo of an evening. Hours and hours of Q&A with college Kids and it is Funny

Great stuff, the story about Prince was half the program.

Funny he wore the same "outfit" at all the appearences. Guess that was the character known as Kevin Smith. But also, fat man sweating is pricless.

I thought the segment about Price was funny as well. The part where he talks about almost making Superman is great. The downside to it are some of the dumb stoner questions offered by the audience.

Aside from that, good way to spend a couple of hours.

I saw a new "Evenning" at my local Blockbuster last night. Is it worth the time? Opinions will be appreciated. Same question re: Clerks 2.

I'm an even bigger Kevin Smith apologist than I am a Boers and Bernstein apologist, so my opinion will probably matter little, but Clerks 2 is not as bad as you're probably fearing. It's obviously not nearly as good as the original, and about the best the flick can hope to do is not sully the name of the first, and it achieves that.

I found the Evening With Kevin Smith series to be boring. I'd rather watch the supplemental material on the tenth anniversary series for Clerks and Mallrats, particularly the entire cast Q&A, rather than Smith rambling on enjoying the sound of his own voice.
