Why is this relevant? They are not coming in droves to Wrigley? Sure they have some sold out Saturday game in the middle of the summer, but you have no clue of what you speak when you say they are coming in droves.

you are wrong man..the cubs attendance is actually pretty high..this is the 2nd worst team in all of baseball ..playing in the worst division in baseball with a very big payroll...there should be 10k per game..it is more like 30 k..

OK, so I put my meatball cap on after the incredible winning streak hit 7 and pulled out the calculator. Cubs can do this fellers. They only have to win 42 of the last 48 games to tie the Brew Crew's projected winning percentage at the end of the year. That gives them 91 wins. Brew crew is lucky they only face this white hot CUB team 3 more times this year or the Cubs only would need 89 victories to take the division.

the Cubs average paid attendance since June 1 is close to 40K. When summer rolls around, yes they come in droves

Yes, I know they reported 39,000 but there are empty seats all over. Would say just over 30K today.

The difference is they paid for those extra 10K a game when they bought the team for $876 mill, so if they really don't get $39K a game, thats a problem.

really? the owner bought 10K tickets for every game this year? where do u get that info? if that was the case, dont u think they would have bought more tickets in April and May to inflate attendance even more?

It's probably more that there are 10K no-shows, bottom line though, it's paid attendance because people bought those tickets in advance...youd think people would have learned from last year, but no, they went out and bought tickets again for this year, which means that they will do the same thing next year

its a cash cow, and anything over 32K a game is something any other team would kill to have
