How much time do you think that you saved by typing "2" instead of "to?" I am just curious.

Can you start taking shots at whistler for that? I feel like I'm alone in my disdain for that clown and his infantile "text typing".

Yes. I am totally against nonsense like this. I never use abbreviations, because they are the sign of a weak mind.

Bringing a bottle of scotch for the host which I am sure he will share
with those interested. Possibly some hot wings from Franks For The
Memories but they'll likely go fast as apps to those there early.

Im 50% at best

Probably will be able to arrange the free night but my car is acting up, not sure it would be wise to take on an hour long trip.

We'll see.

This certainly looks like a thing. I really wish I'd be in town for it.

So we should be expecting sock-man to make it?

 Wouldn't need to go AWOL anymore fortunately, just not in the budget to fly back for a kickass party weekend. Perhaps someone could talk Ken into sending the private jet?

I've never met a board person (to my knowledge) and I've stated in the past that I am indifferent to remotes and whatnot. That being said, and at the danger of contradicting my stated desire for board irrelevance  , I would like to break the seal and attend this event in the interest of broaching some real-life interaction with the cast of characters (I S O P notwithstanding) comprising the CSFMB cognescenti.

I would happily bring some sort of grillable foodstuffs and additional drinkable/smokable materials, provided I can con someone from the area (Boyd??) or passing through the cultural mecca of Schaumburg who might be willing to pick me up and insure my eventual return to my humble abode. So if anyone is headed out 90 or in general through the NW burbs, pm me for vectoring coordinates as I would be happy to provide a contribution to fuel expenditures, and I promise to wear pants. :D

If you can find a way to get to Palatine, I can port you the rest of the way. Forewarned, I'm not returning to Palatine until Sunday.

I know one hobo. I think he still hops trains. He does get arrested on occasion. Eleventh Dream Day named one of their early records after him, wrote a song about him, and his picture is on the cover.

Yeah, I'd recommend a cooler. Also a lawn chair. I've got like 5 lawn chairs and my picnic table, as well as a chair recently pilfered from Boyd, but I think I might need more seating.
of course, coolers = chairs!
