Lightning Crashes = not a Pearl Jam song.

Give a listen to Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town.

It serves no purpose. I hate Yellow Ledbetter almost as much as I hate Mayo.

How do you feel about "Mayonnaise " by the Pumpkins?

Top 5 SP songs. I LOVE it.

I love Vitalogy. Actually, when they released the remastered version back in April, there is a version of Better Man with just the organ and guitars which is outstanding.

Small Town by Mellencamp isn't too shabby either.

Yep, Pink Houses is no slouch, either. I's like to punch Jack in the jaw and kick Diane in the ovaries, however.

I love music. Freakin love rock music. I have no idea how anyone that is WAY into music can answer this question. It's just too hard - and too evolving. My "list" tonight will be different by tomorrow.

As for the Sublime debate: JORR-type story - I was at the Old 97's a couple weeks ago, and one of the guys I'm with decides to lecture us during the break about how Sublime (mainly the death of Brad Nowell) changed the face of rock music more than (just about) anyone ever has. ANYONE EVER. More than contemporaries such as Cobain, etc. Dude next to us gets involved in the conversation, and it gets so loud/stupid that Rhett Miller literally is staring down the guys with the stinkface while he is singing a mellow/falsetto harmony to "Valentine". Security had to "ask" the guys to shut the hell up. I am a mild fan of some of Sublime's stuff, but please keep in mind that reggae didn't originate from a bunch of white boys in suburban L.A.

Mellencamp is a true American rock icon, IMO.

Cherry Bomb, Check It Out, Human Wheels, Lonely Ol' Night, I Need A Lover, Hurts So Good, Ain't Even Done With The Night..... come on girl.

Please note that you're not pointing out a song that came out post 1990 or so. Just sayin. I like Mellencamp.

I love music. My 10 are really my go to when I just want to rely on something for a memory, or something that I just love. That's really what my list was.

That guy was mentally disabled.

Searching for some tunes on YouTube and I ran across some Billy Squier. I had forgot about him. Takes me way back. Good times.

To me, RATM exists in a vacuum for people looking for a reason to be aggressive. I would bet my ass that 95% of RATM fans don't know what the fuck RATM songs are about. They just like to get shirtless ( :D ) and run around a half-ass a mosh pit. I liked RATM better when they were called Audioslave and
made songs. You know what, it's Zach's vocals and the politics that bother me. Solid band.
I've never bought any of their records, and I never will. I have seen Morrello in a couple bars in Libertyville over the years.
Never talked to him.

RATM is still probably better than..............

This broad.

JORR, I caught our gal Carrie Brownstein and her new friend a few weeks back. They were fantastic. They are coming back to town for a pair of shows the first week of October at Empty Bottle. You going?

Let me add Last Child to my Aerosmith love. Just terrific.

+1

I love all of their stuff pre 1st breakup. However, Love in an Elevator = Boyd wants to :puker:

This actually reminds me of the most infuriating concert experience I ever had.

Saw Aerosmith back in 99 at Alpine Valley. Large crowd. Dead crowd. Band opens with a solid set of the 70's stuff. Little to no reaction. They play that fucking Armegeddon song. It was squeeling girl central. Fucking crap. Luckily, that was about 7 or 8 songs in, and half the crowd left at that point. Got to move a little further down the hill, and the last half of the show was fucking amazing.
