I don't think they will get anything for him.

Hey maybe JORR knows some Cubs fans that say he's better than Randy Johnson!

No, but I do know a few who thought Prior was Tom Seaver and Patterson was Willie Mays. Most of you did think Zambrano was far better than he ever really was.

Unfortunately, neither is going to happen anytime soon.

I've rarely been around lately, but this must be in the running for post of the year! ;)

Is there a group of people that are less qualified to make fun of stupid statues than Sox fans?

No....but there's a group with a remarkable amount of "potential" ;)

I remember all those sox fans touting Viciedo as their saviour. Someone even posted an "awesome" comic related to that.

You actually may have that backwards. If he reaches his "potential", it covers up the myriad of (other) errors they've made. If they move him, he likely responds (well) in a real organization...and then what ;)

...And Walkrman....was the great Romo in that comic???? Or even St. Bill Parcells? ;)

Not the Patterson Mays one though.

I dont really get your thing with people getting ahead of themselves with prospects. I mean, its part of the fun sometimes.
I watch enough baseball to know that nothing is a sure thing, especially pitchers. The chance of a high draft pick being dominant is very small. But I enjoyed watching Prior dominate in 03 and because Im human, I started to project a little in my head what he could be. Patterson too, in the first half before the injury.

I guess I just look at it different. I dont watch sports like there's gonna be a "good fan" test at the end of the season.

I do on the other hand understand the resistance to the best ever syndrome of the modern sports fan, but I think thats slightly different.

Not in the respective exhibition seasons they weren't....according to the Valley Ranch fans/synchophants, they were "contenders" each year... :P

plus priors style resembled Seaver. Prior did have a lot of early success suggesting a great career ahead. Then hurt forever plus a pussy.

I know some Sox fans who didnt wanna trade Gordon Beckham for Adrian Gonzalez and some others who didnt want to give him up for Prince Fielder.

Wouldnt it be funny if they both won MVP'S the next season?

No exaggeration neccessary here.

Zambrao: I stinks. I want to retire.

Hendry: Well Carlos, I respect that. Loved having you. We will miss you. If you could just sign right here, we'll make this real easy on you.

Zambrano: I don't know. Maybe I should sleep on it.

Hendry: No!!!!! I mean decisions like this should be rash, quick and without thinking. That's the way to do things like this. Sleeping on it only makes things worse. Now, Carlos, if you could just sign right here.

Zambrano: I is going to talk to my agent first.

Hendry: Motherfucker!!!! Sign this god damn retirement form you son of a bitch!!!!!!

Zambrano:

Baseball Tonight just started. Full blown Zambrano talk. They teased it at the beginning. Baseball drunk, Rick Sutcliff, is gonna share his thoughts on the situation.

That'll offer about as much insight as, well, you giving your opinion on the matter.

Of course not. Everybody knows that. They said on BBT that the Cubs don't know where he's at. I wonder if he's gonna leave Atlanta.

Plus I was kidding. It's not as simple as just signing something today or tomorrow. The Cubs couldn't just prepare something. He's got to go through MLB and their people to officially retire. It takes time.

Maybe Hendry can suspend him again. What a fucking joke of a franchise these fucking guys are.
