I figured this needed it's own thread.

We will be going up to the hotel around 1:30 or so. Trying to meet up with everyone before hand to get as many parking spaces together as possible.

The cheesecake brownies have been confirmed though.
:D :D :D

Hawg, where is the park and ride you were mentioning before? Anyone have a preference as to which lot
they want to park in? I usually park in the east lot near the Sausage Haus mostlly for the huge bathrooms
they have right there.

I don;t really remember there being a huge choice of parking there - isn't it just "follow the leader" in off of that main road and they tell you where to park (except for the "VIP" $$$ parking)?

Anyway - meet at RPB's mom's house by 2:30, we'll go from there.

edit - I agree, parking on the east side is nice. The bathrooms are handy.

Gentlemen and others, you want to enter on Canal Drive, basically the back access road to Miller Park, also a short 2 minute ride from the casino, FYI.

That back road will lead you to the Uecker and Yount lots which is in front of the Pavillons and shitters. Tailgating opens 3 hours before the game. Or you can call and get a permit to try and get a Pavilion , guessing a small fee on that one.

Here is a map of the tailgating and parking areas.

I'm hoping to check in to the hotel somewhat early as well, and be at out meeting spot maybe around 2. I think as long as we have 4-6 spots all together, we'll be ok. That way the people who show up later and just meet us there.

Doug will probably have the tent he brought to the Lakemoorfest party, and I have access to one of those as well in case its raining.

I won't have room to bring my grill, but I can bring charcoal or whatever to use somebody elses. I'm thinking of just bringing some burgers and some chips or whatever-- keep it simple.

I too won't have a grill but I can bring charcoal and I was planning on bringing some Italian sausage too cook. I thought maybe one of those big things of potato salad too would be good. Maybe someone wants to pick up a Macaroni salad?

You know you don't have to sit down everytime you go to the bathroom.

Maybe I should have gone with:
I'll meet up at the McD's, I need to get a few more Smurfs to complete my collection anyway.

I've got my little smokey Joe charcoal grill, I'll have that, charcoal and some meats and buns.
I'll bring a happy meal for spanky.

I will be there and I hope I am on time. I have a fantasy football draft that day, but will be leaving that early. I can bring grill or whatever else we need as it would be easier for me as I am closer and you guys wouldn't have to haul all that shit.

Ok, I am officially getting excited to see the game. I haven't been to a MLB game since
the Cubs clinched at home in 2008 and we all know how that worked out. I am a Cubs fan
but I am very happy for the Brew Crew as well, couldn't happen to a better fan base. So
what should I bring for the tailgate? Do we need a big foldable table to put shit on? I got
one of those. The store by me makes some killer potato salad if people are into that I could
pick up a few lbs.

Wife and I were talking about this during dinner. We are going to bring some snacks and side dishes. Maybe a veggie tray or something like that. So far we are set up with the cheesecake brownies and italian sausages and the veggie tray. Probably some chips or something like that also.

Damn. If you could just bring some extra beer won't need to bring anything.
