Well tough, cause the way it seems, Drinky will have his own full time show sooner rather than later. Have fun in Kenosha.

I'm sure he will be given some kind of shot at a full-time show once North disappears. Aside from Paruch, he's all the Score has on its bench. The smart thing to do, though, would be to pair him with an established host like Boers while sending Bernstein to the mornings where he can realize his ambitions of being something "more" than just a sports talk host.

As for Kenosha, I have no idea what you're talking about.

Got confused with another poster. Apologies.

And I agree that putting Drinky with Boers would be best for him.........but nope, can't breakup the powerhouse duo of B&B. I still like the idea of putting him with Bloomberg or Paruc...hell anyone that doesn't bring the worst out in him like Goff or Holmes would. I love B&B, but I don't need to hear a second-rate version of them.

Its cool if you guys want to ask me questions, but I might not be able to answer them due to the fact I could lose my job.

As for getting on-air at the score, I don't think it is possible. To say I am frustrated and disappointed would be an understatement. So we will see what happens or what doesnt happen.

Do I really sound like Murph's bitch, well I hope I'm not. I produce his show and try to make it the best show possible. I think I do a pretty good job preparing Murph for the days tasks at hand and what is going on in the future. This is the only time I will answer this question: Yes I like Murph. I think we work well together for the most part and I have no ill will towards him and don't think I ever will. I also respect the work he does on air, It makes my job alot easier having a host that brings something to the table every day. Also he has taught me alot about radio that I really never knew. Him and Dave Baum have taught me the most about radio.

The name of the show comes from the fact that we are Outsiders to pretty much everybody. We are outside our demo at the station, outside of Chicago. So I thought it kind of fit. Also at the time I felt like an outsider to radio. Working overnites and not really feeling like a person that actually worked there kind of made it that way. But luckily for me that management team is some where else, I'm sure having the great results they had at the Score.

Since I don't post here often, I would really like to say how much I like this website. It keeps me pretty informed, hell you guys usually know more than me and I work at the Score. Also, i think this is a great way for direct feedback to the listeners. The post on what makes you turn the dial was great. My list would begin with Santo/Rose in the hall. I hope I was pretty informative and if I can answer any questions you guys have, I will.

Cy,

I wish you good luck in the future. I don't like Murph as a host or as a person, but I respect your opinion. As I said, good luck in your quest to get on the air.

Damn, nice response Cy. Good luck through at the Score. With the lack of talent there on the bench what is keeping you from at least getting a weekend or late night shot?

Hello Cy.

Good luck to you.

I am 5000 miles away and the only reason I listen to the Score nowadays is bec. of Murph's show. You've done a great job with him by making it the only sports show on the score that actually does what it's suppose to do, thats talk sports.

I hope Murph gets a longer shift since baseball season is coming up.

Thanks.

cy, I'm a fan, I'll also try to listen on that Joliet station.

You like Murph, I don't mind him that much except how any conversation can be brought back to the Cubs, but I'm curious about everyone else working at the station? Is it just the incidents we know about (Boers, Mulligan)or is there a general dislike for him around there?

- How does it work Cy? When Murph leaves and B&B have to enter the studio. Is it your job to cover Murph up in a sheet and walk Murph out so he doesn't make eye contact with B&B?

-If you are seen by Murph talking to B&B or his producers will you be fired?

Don't let them suck you in Cy. I'm sure if Murph ever caught you posting here there would be hell to pay. Read all you want and answer when you like, but I wouldn't get in to deep if I were you.......you don't want to become one of THE INTERNET PEOPLE!!!!!

Nice response Cy.
You seem like a cool dude who likes what he does and are the type of person who just wants to do good work regardless of circumstances.

and that carries more weight with me than calling callers "dopes" or "retards" or talking Cubs baseball for two hours  ever could.

thumbs up!

Cy, at what point of the broadcast does the urge to punch Murph in the face become almost unbearable?

Cy, you are lucky to work for the best that the Score has to offer. Keep up the good work. 12-2 is the only time I can keep the score on for more than 20 minutes at a time without having to change the channel. The rest of the station seems to have forgotten what made the station great. Keep on producing those great shows.
