So Reign Over Me is on tv and I've been half paying attention. I've noticed Don Cheadle seems to be absolutely carrying this movie, or trying to anyway. I don't think I've ever seen him in a movie where I was disappointed by his part. Underrated might be the wrong word since I don't know many people who think he is a bad actor. This thread title is obviously 100% subjective, but I'm wondering who everyone else thinks doesn't get enough credit in Hollywood.

Kinda, but not relative to his castmates. Matt Damon was brutal. 11 was tolerable, 12 & 13 were completely awful. Just a shitty trilogy all around

Michael Keaton is awesome. A case could be made he's underrated.


Daniel Day Lewis (only because people dont recognize he's the Michael Jordan of acting)


The chick who plays the sister in knocked up and the french toast girl in 40 yr old version is the best actress going. Underrated as an actress and as a piece of sex.


Henry Winkler - Instantly likeable in almost any role. Winkles with relative ease.

Isn't he nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for every roll he takes? That doesn't scream underrated to me, IMO.

Now, Jeremy Irons...that's underrated.

Paul Giamatti is great in every role, from Santa Clause to John Adams...even his part in Saving Private Ryan. It really shows the bias against normal looking people in Hollywood that he is not a bigger star. I always wonder if his dad told him if Pete Rose ever threw a game

Hank, Mr. Mom was great. Dream Team was decent but if you haven't seen Keaton in
My Life do yourself a favor and check it out. I cry everytime I see that one and I don't
even have kids or a wife anymore. Also good in Gung Ho and I believe Stand and Deliver.
I'll agree his work is uneven but underrated for some of his roles. Horrible Batman though I
will agree.

giamatti is apty acclaimed. same with daniel day-lewis. it's almost like saying meryll streep is underrated.

underrated is under the radar.
