That has nothing to do with my point. I'm not saying it can't be done.

Whether it is the correct option to choose to do it....talk over all the same stories for the 4th consecutive show....again....is a personal preference for both the host and listener.

LoHo goes off on more tangents, which is naturally going to happen on a one-man show - not everyone's cup of tea. JD and Hood can have a conversation. LoHo is doing a monologue. It's a completely different type of show by design.

There are plenty of different ways to talk about sports without repeating what has been stated throughout the day. Bernstein accomplished this feat particularly well when he held the evening slot. So did Bartosch, Greenberg, and Memolo in their substitute gigs. Holmes talks about himself not because he lacks material from the world of sports, but because it is his preference to do so.

You do realize that people say the same thing about your posts.

I'm a fan of both of you.

Yes, and he also manages to talk about the Bears without mentioning how he and Lance Briggs bonded over their common affection for comic books. Imagine that. Thats all im saying.

But he does mention seeing Freddy in the club.

Pretty close

Anyway I like all three Laurence, Hood, and JD

I haven't heard the Freddy story, so I can't comment on it. But there's a major stylistic difference between Hood and Holmes. That much should be obvious.

Take Hood as an example. He used the night shift to create postgame shows that were sufficiently entertaining that they rivaled the team sanctioned shows. He was banned from using the team names during his postgames because the teams complained.

There's a reason for it, Krazy. The 2011 NBA Draft, which should be interesting at the start. The Draft is actually at the home of the New Jersey Nets this year, the Prudential Center in Newark.

I've been wondering, is Lamar Hoyt's burrito the same guy as dan bernstein's burrito?

Really? You're claiming a "gotcha" on this one? Self deprecation vs. Self loving. "Laugh at me" vs. "Cry for me"? You don't see the difference. That's really bad. Try again.

Just saw "Wall Street II" on HBO.

Gordon Gekko summed up what I felt about Larry's return monologue to sports radio listeners.

Yeah. I don't know the actress, but I thought the same thing. Why didn't they sex her up? The boyish hairstyle? Really? That was a conscious decision by the movie studio. Why? Why didn't they make Jessica Alba his love interest? It was a simple role that could have been played by anybody. Alba has no acting skills but it would have brought more box office. She would have been perfect for this simple role.

awww hell naw i know y'all ain't hating on my girl carey mulligan, aka sally sparrow

she had that hair in the movie, presumably, because that's the hair she has in real life. i think she lobbied to the producers to keep it because she felt weird wearing a wig.

Image

i see where you lot are coming from, as i myself am not a fan of the 8 year old boy look, but this ain't a bad looking girl... she's just some sort of a hipster, fucking some dude from an english folk-rock band... and shia lebeouf too.

i think this guy has to get some love for the trim he pulls off... it seems like when he does a movie, oft times he gets that leading lady. he's recently admitted to megan fox during transformers, despite her being married/dating/whatever the dude from 90210, and then i read about this movie and it turns out he started nailing carey mulligan. producers said the chemistry was undeniable.

is this guy gonna end up being the scott baio of our generation?!

We are officially back in full swing. JGoff had to remove LoHo from kicking somebody's ass on B96 for throwing a softball game.

The magic of that segment was that I thought he was joking for the first 3 minutes. Once i realized he was serious??!!

BTW, J had to stop Loho from beating some B96 ass during B96's game

I don't understand how people don't appreciate how entertaining this show is. Honest to God.

I know.

I remember when I first heard Laurence I didnt know what to make of it.

But after a while, I mean if youre not laughing your ass off at this show and these stories...I feel bad for you.

How perfect is my timing? I walk in and hear the words "Ok, were gonna get into something that I wanna talk about....B96 are a bunch of punks"

As Im typing this Goff is telling a story about being at one of those murder mystery dinners and Lo-Dawg slipped a racial comment in between Goffs words (of course you were a suspect)

I'm so happy I wasn't the only one who heard this. Right before that he lobbed a grenade in Rock Memola's direction as well.

Guess we know why Rock left for the safety of Florida.

BTW, Laurence referring to Kanye as "Yay" = SHAKE THAT

The 3rd hour of the 8/15/2011 show is Laurence dubbed over himself. Twice the insanity in a 38 minute bag. Kind of disappointed as I wanted to hear the B96 thing. It is between the say 20 - 27 minutes mark. BUT, there is a second conversation going on in the background that I kind of want to catch too. If I was a little smarter I maybe could channel both conversations simultaneously. Sadly I am not.

I didn't get to hear the whole thing either. I sent Laurence a message to see if it can be fixed.

I wanted to get Goff's show, too. But it's not up there.
