The bitch of all this is that the U wasn't even all that good during this time. They haven't been all that special after the loss to Ohio State. I'm not really surprised by any of this and in a weird way I'm not sure I look down on them or even care. For the last 8 or so years they are just an average team that shuffles phenomenal individual talent to the League. Aside from that 1 class of recruits from that miami high school championship team they get routinely beat in recruiting by Florida and Florida State and thats just in state. As a fan of the U I don't even care. This is business as usual and they are still fun as hell to watch at the U and watch in the league.

Fan too, Would like to see Miami get it back and dominate again. Do agree, hasn't been the same since the loss to Ohio State.

So this stuff goes on at Miami, it happens at other schools, if your a top high school player, why would you ever go to Boise and some people do, would say something's happening there and they just fired the AD or President there.

I know Miami going to take a hit, so instead of next year being the possibilty of a special year, could be 5 to 10 years, just have to wait a little longer.

You know......at first I was like oh fuck this is going to destroy the program for at least a decade but the more I think about it I think its just going to increase the street cred of "The U" football program. It would tear down almost any other program but I really don't think it will in this situation because I doubt anyone one thought that high of the Canes off the field to begin with. The U is a different breed than almost any other major college program. IMO they are the closest thing to a minor league football team. Anyways...they will lose some scholarships and some post season games but this will only enhance the legend and legacy of "The U".

Urlacher's Missing Neck, I can only hope.

The one thing I am starting to wonder, Does Golden stay, he pretty much made Temple football watchable, and the U is a diffrent breed, so who knows how good he will be, but if he can't get players in with a loss of scholarships and no bowl games, will he want to stay.

In reality, the next bowl game Miami could be eligible is in 4 years.

On this season, I wasn't expecting much, a 8 or 9 win season, a decent bowl, hopefully a win in that one, and then the next year, that would be the big season, with everything now, it could be awhile.

I was actually surprised to learn that had a 100% graduation rate last year. You usually don't see that at most of the football factories... especially ones that are potentially corrupt.

In USA Today, they are reporting that the Miami Bars and Stores are losing sleep over the possibilty of the Death Penalty.

I have a question, from everything around here, it sounds like Purdue is safe and how can that be, I have a quote in my local paper, that Shapiro said Mavre was one of his favorites, if Purdue is safe, than Miami shouldn't get hammered here. Know I know the only thing that could happen to Purdue, is 2 wins vacated and Mavre ruled ineligible.

He did it while at Miami so the NCAA would likely 'look the other way' concerning Marve playing at Purdue.

They aren't going to punish a school for having a player who did illegal things at other schools outside of the standard "ineligible player forcing you to vacate wins". What is a little bit sad here is that supposedly Marve has turned things around and become a good student and a good teammate where he wasn't at Miami but ultimately what's going to happen to him is his fault and his alone.
