We did our draft order last night and I got the 7th pick. Im hoping a guy like Ray Rice or a top level QB falls to me. I don't see the QB thing happening as we start 2 QB's and its 6 points for TD's. Im already thinking/hoping that I could get Rice and a guy like Brady,Brees,or Rivers on the wrap around. Rice scares me a little bit because I drafted him last year and kinda got burned on him.

I wonder where CJ will end up going

Just skiming mock drafts Ive seen Adrian Peterson go 1 overall, also Arian Foster was tops in one.

Vick is interesting. If he's like last year, he should be #1 overall. He's like getting two players a RB and a QB.

Blount and Bradshaw will be steals in a lot of leagues.

I have the #3 pick. I'm expecting to be left with Chris Johnson. I'm not sure I like that and I am soliciting trades out of the pick.

Had the #2 pick in my work league. Took Foster and got Brees when it snaked back around to me.

Matthew Berry made some good arguements that Vick can be the number 1 pick. If you have a league where TD passes are also 6 pts it would make even more sense. If that seems too nerve wracking, AP seems to be a pretty cant miss player.

In this particular league we select a teams qb's. Last year I had the eagles qb's. Got some really nice production from them, by my rb situation was a mess. That being said anything viking related scares the bejesus out of me. Im thinking about grabbing Rodgers and saying fuck it, he lead in total scoring last year in my league. Not sure though.

Im thinking now more toward McCoy over Rice. I know McCoy has Ronnie Brown to steal some touches from him but damn if the guy doesn't make plays.

Is it a PPR league?
How many RB/WR do you start each week?
How many players in your league?

This year is looking better to take Rice than McCoy. Vick is going to be the focal point of that offense and McGahee isn't there to steal goal line touches from Rice.

It is a PPR
We start 2 Rbs/3 Wrs and a flex WR/RB spot
We have 8 players in our leage
We start 2 QB's

I guess top 10 picks in your league would look like:

1. Michael Vick
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Drew Brees
4. Tom Brady
5. Philip Rivers
6. Arian Foster
7. Peyton Manning
8. Ray Rice
9. Jamaal Charles
10. Adrian Peterson

This probably needs plenty of modifying, but with all TDs equaling 6 points, I feel this might be close.

Yeah pretty sure Peterson and Foster go 1 2 after that I know the guy drafting three now wants Vick. Im thinking Rodgers goes next and after that its kind of a crap shoot. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Johnson or Jamal Charles falls to 7

Why would running backs go 1 & 2 in this scoring format?

I have no idea how the draft is going to work this year. I wouldn't be surprised if someone went Rodgers number 1 honestly. I would just say if I had the first pick I would go Foster probably as you want that solid stud running back and you can still get a stud qb with your second pick.

Do you have draft results from last year?
I think Peyton Hillis would be a great 4th if you can get him there.
He had 60+ receptions last year, first year as feature back gives him fresher legs, and Colt could possibly go with some dumps to him.
And people view him as a workhorse, so people might not think he's valuable in PPR.

Yeah we do have results still up from last year but no need to post all of that. First round did look like this though

1.Chris Johnson
2.Adrian Peterson
3.Aaron Rodgers
4.Drew Brees
5. Maurice Jones-Drew
6. Ray Rice
7.Andre Johnson
8.Peyton Manning

Lol yeah didn't mean post every round, I thought maybe there was a link for it.

Judging on that you should be able to snag a top 3 QB.
I'm still confused as to why people just didn't take all top tier QBs first.
They average about 20 tds more than RBs/WRs?

I have the first pick in a 12 team league. I have ignored all things football and have absolutely no idea who to pick. Is Marshall Faulk still playing??

I think the reasoning behind the pick of Foster/Johnson/Peterson/Charles with the early picks is that there is a top tier of RB's and those four guys(maybe not even Charles) are it. As for Qb's the top tier might be Vick,Rodgers,Brees,Manning(who I wouldn't touch right now unless it was later)Brady,Rivers and maybe Romo. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if any one of those guys were tops for QB's for the season. You have a better shot getting one of those QB's with your second pick then you do a top RB.

Man, I'm joining some Fantasy Football leagues this year for the first time since 2006-07 and I honestly have no idea who I'd pick #1.... I remember hearing that the oddly-named Arian Foster was a top RB last year... and now everyone is in love with Michael Vick, as the ESPN promotion machine goes out of its way to tell you that he's just so damned valuable with the running capabilities that he might even be worth the #1 overall pick... and it's like WTF?!?!

I miss the good ol days when Marshall Faulk then Priest Holmes and then LT were the easy consensus #1 picks. That made life soooo much easier.... now it's like, what do I know about Jamaal Charles?

Does anyone know a good fantasy football website where I can read good analysis and articles on the game for free? I don't want to go to some roto site and pay $20 for their "draft kit" and "have a leg up on the competition" cuz if I were to have a leg up on the competition odds are that they'd be staring at my taint.

Oh also, if you had a roster where you had three keepers and you had Brandon Lloyd, Marques Colston, Mike Jacobs, LT, Reggie Bush and then a bunch of decent-stuff to crap (Zach Miller comes to mind) thanks to Carson Palmer retiring... who would you keep? I inherited the last team in the Nas league and it looks like I'm going to start off keeping crap and really have to do well on my depth in order to be competitive... it seems like most people are keeping a QB/RB/WR or QB/2-RBs and like, i dunno if i even have 1 RB that's 100% worth keeping (tho i'll have to just cuz I have shit else... unless I want to meatball up and take roy will) let alone a QB... and then when you're in a position where you have to keep brandon lloyd and hope he's at least 60-75% of his 1400 yds 11 TDs... yeesh! He's like the #18 WR or something per ESPN, and colston is #15... and right now those are my clubhouse favorites to be keepers alongside whoever i wanna keep from the jacobs/LT/bush camp. ;JDF;DASJF

If Aaron Rodgers is on the board for your pick, you take him.

1) AP- Too consistent not to take #1
2) Foster
3) Charles- Would surprise no one to be the #1 back this year.
4) Rice- see Charles
5) Johnson- Goes to #2 if he signs quickly.
6) McCoy- If he falls a little, snatch him!
7) AJohnson- Stud
8) Roddy- Safe pick
9) Calvin- Probably #1 WR if Stafford stays healthy
10) Rodgers- he did have 3 concussions last year

I'd target a top 6 QB but am not afraid to wait either if they fly off the board.

I like CBS Sportsline over ESPN. Listen to their positional podcasts and drafts reviews.

12 team league and I had the 9th pick. I picked up Vick as everyone from 1-8 went RB. When it snaked around I was able to pick up McFadden as he was the best RB available at the time IMO.

5th pick in a 12 teamer. Standard scoring.

I'm seriously considering taking Rodgers or Brady right there and hope for something RB on the way back. If Rice is there at 5 I'm very happy.

Rice should be there at 5, if not, then you either have CJ,Foster,JC, or AP.
Due to 12 man, I would advise taking a RB with your first pick.
There are some decent running backs late, but Matt Ryan and Big Ben are projected to average only 2 points less per game and can be had 4 rounds later.

Had the #1 pick and went with Foster. We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, K, DEF (TE's count as WR's.)

Schaub, Cutler
Foster, Forte, Beanie Wells, M. Barber, LaRod Stephens-Howling, Starks
Fitzgerald, Steve Johnson, Manningham, Owen Daniels, Meachem, Burleson
Hanson
Atlanta D.

I don't know how I ended up with these Bears players on the team. I certainly didn't reach for them... Forte was on the board when it came back to me with the 24th pick. Then I grabbed Fitzgerald there too. Those guys never made it back in any of my mock drafts.

I've got the #2 pick in a ppr league tonight. Standard scoring (4 pts for Qb TD). However, there are big bonuses for QB yardage (@ every 50 yds over 250).

Foster hurt. Johnson holding out. What's an Amish Electrician to do?

Draft Charles or get your QB there. None of the good QBs will still be around when it gets back to you.
