What would be your plan?

Mine would be

Hire a Team President in charge of baseball operations. Give him complete control of baseball decisions.

Do everything you can to get Friedman from Tampa Bay for GM. Maybe even make him Team President.

If you can't get Friedman or he is the President hire a young gun for GM. Someone new but a go getter from a great organization an assistant ready to take the next step. Rick Hahn perhaps?

Hire an experienced manager.

Do not tie up any long term contracts for at least 1 off season. Unless it's Fielder or Pujols. Don't tie up too much money to try and win 83 games next year. Wait until we're 2 players away to go crazy unless again you can get a once in a long while type like Prince or Albert.

You all realize Kenny has no impact on on field decisions don't you? He handles business operations.

I don't like him either but contrary to the idiots on B&B he is not responsibile like they claim for not only all the Cubs faults, but the Bears, Bulls, Sox and Blackhawks, the city, the state, the nation and the world.
