did not see a thread for the show which is hard to believe..this is one of the best shows i have ever seen, new season starts in a few days ..if ya have not watched the first 2 seasons..rent them on dvd it is outstanding

I watched the first few episodes and they were just OK. I gave up on it and apparently made a poor choice doing so.

It picks up steam as the series goes on.... moreso than any other television series out there, I get a sense of dread watching it because you see what's going on and the direction everyone's going in and you're just like !!!!@@#@# WTF STOP!!! and i've had to change the channel over on several occasions cuz you know you're watching people fuck their little worlds up.

it's utterly delightful in that sense, actually. and the dad from malcolm in the middle who plays mr. white is something like the norse god of acting. when he used his pontiac aztec in an authoritative manner near the shady little park that one fateful night, holy shit i jumped up off of the couch and said FUCK YEAH!!!!@

best show agreed...but last night was kinda slow .. i think that guy showed his face to the neighbors/witnesses at the crime scene and had to go.

Exactly. I like the fact that this shows requires you to pay attention & think to fully understand what is happening. There are lots of subtleties that are open to interpretation.

Now if only Mad Men would return...

Knowing this makes me feel better about my TV show preferences. Terry still thinks Mannix is a current show.

Last nights Breaking Bad episode might just be the best one yet. This show just keeps getting better & better. It sure looks like Jesse us doomed, but I have a feeling Walter saves him somehow. As for Walters problem with Hank, when Hank figures out that WW is in fact Walter White, Walt will either take him out or pay him off to keep quiet.

I think both predictions are wrong.

I think that Mike is driving Jesse out somewhere to lay low and have Gus believe he is dead so that Mike will be recruited to be Walt's partner, and they can then conspire to kill Gus.

That "ear-chip raid incident" is probably weighing pretty heavily on Mike's mind, especially after the "box-cutter" thing and his barroom convo with Walt.

Possibly. But when they previewed next weeks show, they showed a quick shot of Mike & Jesse in the desert with a shovel.

Loved the latest episode "Problem Dog".

Things are really heating up and Hank is finally putting two and two together.

Loved the interesting scene in the chicken place with Walt's son, Hank and Gus all together in one scene. The son being the unintentional cause of the problem, Hank unknowingly dining with the son of the enemy and being served by the head honcho of the meth lab who is posing as a crispy clean business man.

Also the depth of Jesse's problems and the choice he needs to make, make for an extremely dramatic episode.

So I'm finishing up season 2 and I've just got the finale left. From about the time that Saul came around, every episode has been absolutely spectacular. The episode that ends with Walt and Jane- oh my. That's got to be one of the best episodes of all time. My view has been that while the show is good, it's a little overated. After these last couple episodes, I might have to rethink that.

I know that business picks up and it gets crazier but oh my god his wife and her sister I just want to PTFB and go play some solitaire on my computer any time a scene with either of them shows up. I am going to give an honest effort at season 2 because I think Bryan Cranston's acting has been amazing but I hope it picks up quickly during the 2nd season.

I have found the 2nd half of season 2 to be excellent.

I won't post any spoilers, but for the guys just starting keep at it. The first season is only 6 episodes and really just lays the groundwork. It gets better after every episode.

Only reason I started watching it was everyone was saying, "it's an amazing show, you have to watch it."

I'll probably start watching the Wire, as everyone raves about that show as well.

The Wire is the best show I've ever seen. When you start watching season 1, give it half a season or so to kick in.

Actually season one is seven episodes. A short seaon due to the strike that was going on at the time. I too cannot believe how good this show is. And yes, it is up there with THE WIRE as far as acting and writing. I've only just finished Season one but I consider it the 2nd best show ever on TV. And my favorite scene from season one was Walt fucking up that asswipes BMW at the gas station. I actually cheered out loud.

*Not sure if there is a thread but I recommend Damages from FX (now on on Direct TV only).

Seasons one and two are on Netflix.

Great writing and acting along with some wild twists and turns. Some are turned off by Glenn Close as I was but she is an incredible villain in this show. And Rose Byrne will grown on you. Ted Danson has never been better.

It looks like there will be a Walt-Hank confrontation. I think Walt wants to look Hank right in the face and say, "I'm the man!"

I have a feeling Mike will be dispatched to dispose of Hank and Marie will be in teh wrong place at the wrong time.

It has to be Walt that kills Gus. The whole season has been a Gus v Walt in who is in control. I doubt the producers/writers miss out on a great scene of Walt disposing of Gus.

The actor that plays Gus definitely deserves major accolades for his role on the show. I know BB is not eligible for Emmy nominations this year, but to me, he would be a shoe-in for best supporting actor.

-Regarding Mad Men. I have been staring at the show in my Netflix queue for weeks. Is it worth giving a chance? Well written?
