Bullshit. Zambrano is the quintessential bully, and has been for years. Players and coaches are physically intimidated by him, and have been afraid to stand up to his douchebaggery (with the exception of Michael Barrett).

Ricketts needs to clean house: Kenney/Hendry/Wilkens/Quade and negotiate buyouts for Z and Soriano and move forward by hiring a real Pres, GM, Farm Director and manager.

This organization has become a disgrace and they need to start fresh in a big way by wiping the slate clean with the termination of the Zell team and the Zell regimes bloated contracts.

Why would Rickets get rid of Kenney ..so far he is the ONLY one in the organization that has done right by Ricketts :?: :?: :?:

Carlos Zambrano will not return to the Chicago Cubs this season.

The team announced Friday it will resume paying the right-hander's salary after his 30-day suspension ends Sept. 11, but he won't return to the team because there would be "insufficient preparation time" for him to pitch again this season.

Pussies.

I have a feeling the league stepped in and said "we don't want this problem with the union."

If not, I agree with you and they are pussies.

"Insufficient preparation time"? That's ridiculous. What if he says he's been practicing every day and is ready to go? They should have just said he's disqualified indefinitely due to his repeated unacceptable behavior. By saying it's about prep time, it seems they've opened the door for him to return next year (which would be a disaster) or even a challenge by his camp to get him back with the team this year.

they havent opened the door to anything

Ricketts just doesnt wanna be honest about it...he is another Ed Lynch/McFail

of course this is all besides the point...he should be allowed to pitch...this is just Ricketts trying not to disrespect Bully and giving Z a chance

but thats ok...Im sure Z is more than happy to sit at home and collect the rest of his money...Im happy the Cubs are on the hook for it
