risk/reward group of rb's - mccoy is very solid and williams is dynamic when healthy, but a lot of split-time type backs, or guys who may not get the lions share of the carries, at least right away. its tough, because there arent really all that many guys now who carry the ball 75+% of the time anymore. i think your wide receivers are outstanding with a huge amount of potential to put up big seasons. i also like the pick of fitzpatrick - a nice insurance policy for stafford. i love the stafford to megatron combo. i know there are different schools of thought on that, but i am a big fan of drafting QB/WR or QB/TE combos, especially when the WR or TE is a stud like calvin johnson.

this team could be pretty good. its not super-strong to look at initially, but if key guys can stay healthy like stafford and deangelo, you could have a real nice year in my opinion.

by the way - what order did you pick your team? for a 12-teamer, you have a pretty nice crop of receivers in Nicks and Johnson to go along with McCoy and Deangelo ( i am assuming they are your top 4?).

Don't follow the trends. No reason to pick up Stafford there IMHO. You could have punted on the QB position and put yourself in a lot better stead in RB or WR. But of course, without knowing every single pick of the draft, it is hard to accurately criticize. :drunken: I do think the Lions will be very good this year offensively (and yes, that is if Stafford stays healthy.)

With DeAngelo, Stewart, and Ingram you have a good chance of 1 of them having a big year which is what you're going to need. With FF, it is always a crapshoot. While I don't necessarily like your team, you never know. Stafford could be a top 8 QB, McCoy, Johnson, and Nicks should be elite, and if one of those RBs pop, you'll be golden.

I've got a couple drafts next week and if everyone is taking QBs early, I'll be waiting for Eli or Freeman or Rothlisburger. Rothlisburger went for $17 in our auction while I spent $37 on Rivers. Wish I could have that back.

Fitzpatrick is a nice late round sleeper

Picked him in Round 8. Weren't a lot of RB's or WR's left. I was the 10th team to draft a QB and at that point it was getting to be slim. Once Freeman went, I had to grab Stafford. One of the teams drafted 3 QB's (Brees Cassell Schaub) which I'm still trying to figure out. He's the new guy of the group and maybe he's banking on a trade.

Who was available for the 5th pick?
I like the WR core, Mega and Nicks should be all you need.
Not high on DeAngelo, mainly because he's on a horrible team.

Stafford should be solid if he can stay healthy.
Faces a tough schedule however.

Foster was available....the top 4 picks were Peterson, Charles, Johnson, Rice. I'm not sold on Foster this year. He was my must-draft last year but I just don't feel good about him for this year. I'm banking on Ingram having a big year.

I'm not too sold on Foster either.
I understand why to go with McCoy there.

I draft third Monday night and am hoping that Foster does not drop to me.

I did as well. I got Chris Johnson. I ended up with Brees, Johnson/Felix Jones, Vincent Jackson/Britt/Santana Moss, Clark, Crosby and Patriots as starters. The draft went well early but the wheels fell off about the time I had to take Felix Jones as my #2 back.

I have Chris Johnson, MJD, Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams, Tony Gonzalez, Jets D, and Matt Schaub as my starters.
Maclin or Garcon could fill in for Mike Williams...Pierre Thomas is my 3rd back.
(We only allow three RB's & 4WR's per team).
