I think it's a fairly good debate this year. I think it's Kobe. That would be Kobe's first one if I'm not mistaken. It's very rare for a player who's team doesn't have the 1st or 2nd best reccord in the conference to win MVP. Kobe's Lakers will probably end up with the 6th seed.

Just thinking back in my mind I think the last time a player won with a team below a 2 seed was the 87-88 season when Jordan won it with his 36 or 37 point average. I think the Bulls were a 4 or a 5 seed that year.

As I mild Suns fan, I had to vote for Nash. He makes everyone around him better, and has shown this year that when he isn't in the lineup, Phoenix is a completely different team.

I don't think there's any debate. Kobe wins this thing in a landslide.

If Kobe wins, it will be a close win. To say he will win in a landslide is a bit much.

Dirk has been the best player on the best team in the NBA. I hope it goes to him.

I think Kobe should win it too. But his team will only have 45 wins or so. They'll be the sixth seed. Dirk's Mavs are gonna have 68 wins. We're talking top 4 regualar seasons ever. In a pretty tough Western Conference mind you. So, while I think Kobe should win, Dirk is going to get alot of votes because of the above reasons.
