I won't be there Saturday. Only way I'm there Sunday is if I can get a relatively decent deal on a pavillion seat. I won't be able to show up there at 4pm to get a good lawn seat. I'm dissappointed I likely won't be able to see the, but I will again soon. They're about due for a full on US tour and a new album.

Yeah, I hear you. I know you have other plans that weekend. Kind of a fucked weekend to stage a big
concert but whatever. I know they'll be back around, I probably shouldn't get so stuck on the 20th
anniversary thing. Sounds like a good time though.

After being spoiled with some really solid fanclub seats over the years, I'll wait for the next tour rather than stand 400 yards away from them on the lawn.

I had a pretty special moment back on the second Lollapalooza tour during my senior year of high school, I believe. Summer of '92? I was living in Cleveland and went to go see the show. Pearl Jam was one of the early performers on the main stage, still basking in the glow of the popular debut album. The rain started pouring on the outdoor auditorium (Blossom Music Center) which was like Ravinia, but on a slope (so you could actually see the band from the lawn).

As the rain fell, the slope turned into mud and there was this one area that turned into a gigantic mud slide. Being ridiculous youth we ripped off the shirts and began to slide down this thing. And wouldn't you know it, soon we were joined by Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell (I honestly can't remember if Soundgarden had performed yet). I had no idea those bands would become as special as they were. But that moment is forever ingrained in my memory... maybe because it was the last time I really remember being truly care free.

I tried to Google "Pearl Jam Mud and Blossom Music Center" to see if anyone else remembered it... all I found was this.

It was a great weekend. Saturday's show had a weird pace to it. I'm glad I ended up going to Sunday's show as well, because it explained Saturday's crazy setlist- not that it was bad, lots of goodies and such, but there was a lot missing that was (thankfully) covered in Sunday's set. I enjoyed Cornell and the Temple of the Dog stuff, but I thought four songs was too much.

Does Pearl Jam still do those official bootlegs in the thin cardboard cases?

Yes, they still sell the bootlegs. I'd be surprised if they didn't try to do something a little different with this show though.

That second night looked like an awesome set. Would have been a nice night for a concert too.

I was not particularly thrilled with the majority of Saturday's set.

During the last couple tours, PJ has had sports-themed shirts, specific to each city. I was lucky enough to have someone get me one from tonight's show. Could not be more excited for it. Gary is probably jacked too!

Good show last night Fallon interviewed Cameron Crowe and talked about the PJ documentary
that is coming out. The band came out and played a brand new song called Ole. It was ok,
needs a little work. Just a short punk song but it had some promise. Link below if interested...

They'll be musical guest again tonight before heading to Toronto for a couple nights.
