Quadster has some pipes on him....who knew

Will LaHair continue to hit? of course he has to play for that to happen

Coleman goes tonight and it would nice to see him have a quality start.

One can only hope that Ricketts and his lackey Crane Kenney show up to patrol the stands like they did the last time the Cubs were out east playing the Sawx.

It will be good to see Cashner back in action.

Hopefully Quade goes for a swim in the Hudson.

Note to Quade. When you want to put Campana in as a defensive replacement you put him in for Soriano and not LaHair. I'm not sure the guy has ever played a 9th inning with your quick hook.

Quade is starting to figure it out. Soriano benched again, LaHair batting 3rd and DJ getting a start.

Nice quality AB for LaHair. Fowled off a ton of pitches and then rips a double that was a few feet from leaving the park. 7 game hitting streak!!

Hershiser commented on LaHair's short compact swing, doesn't LaHair realize to be a respected left handed hitting prospect in the Cub organization you need a big long swing like Patterson, Pie, or Colvin.

UMN.....you are a trooper. I don't know how the fuck someone can put themselves through this on a daily basis but there you are, game after game. I know who to go to for end of the year Cubs breakdown.

Is LaHair the real deal or will the dumbasses break open the wallet for the .212 28 HR 1st baseman?

He hasn't really ever had a "bad" minor league season.

He is not only getting his in his major league AB's this year but he is having good at bats.

He is bigger than he looks st 6'5 240 and has plenty of power.

My biggest question with him, and Quade never playing him there doesn't help, is his defense. I have no idea how he is at first.

I think they have a hard on for Pena and he will be back and LaHair will get a legit shot in the OF pending the removal of Byrd and Colvin from the roster by trading Byrd and sending Colvin back to AAA. I personally would pay him 500k and shit can Soriano and play him in left every day next year.

Another quality at bat. He was inches from a double down the line and he got the count full and walked.

Perhaps he and Josh Fields can save a seat on the bus for Beckham and Morel

You knew they were going to overplay the 9/11 stuff tonight but with these two shitfuck teams they are REALLY going overboard because there is nothing else to talk about. What a giant waste of time.

The grounds crew has just covered the field with the flag and we are in a Bobby Valentine delay.

How did LaHair get on 2nd? They didn't even show his AB. They aren't even calling the game nor showing it now.

edit: He got a double and scored for the 3rd time tonight on Colvin's triple.

Can't let a baseball game get in the way of the hype machine. This network is such a fucking joke it's ridiculous.

Another quality AB for LaHair. He got down in the count and fouled off pitch after pitch until he finally walked. In 4 AB's he has had to have seen at least 30 total pitches.

You bitching about it is more annoying than anything going on in the game

They just came back to the game after a shot of downtown in the middle of a play. Someone grounded out to someone. Not sure who it was. I guess it's not that important.

I want to be excited about LaHair (by crackie), but my Coob experience tells me not to ... UMN, what do I think?

They came back from what I thought was a commercial and said DJ hit a hard grounder to short and Lahair was thrown out at the plate.

you know.....what impresses me is that each AB is a quality AB. If he produces...I don't care what his age is. He is going to cost somewhere between 350k-500k next year. I would find a spot for him. Put him at 1st and you save 9.5 mil at least. He could start in right or left but that would involve cutting some dead weight.

He looks like a better hitter than the Hoff.

That was a bad play by Lamehieu. Should have got 2 on that one.

...or he momentarily saved the game because of the wild pitch.

That was a serious fist pump by the Shark after that strikeout. Didn't even realize Joe West was in the house tonight.
