Wilco were amazing. Art Of Almost, Impossible Germany, and Shot In The Arm were the highlights.
Someone should tell Tweedy to take a shower though.

Good stuff!

The only time I saw Wilco they barely played anything off Summerteeth. The first 9 songs off that record are incredibly strong.

I'm surprised it sounded that good live; I was actually pretty pleased with all the new songs and am shocked they didn't throw a few more out there. I am trying to break your heart sounded pretty brutal as it usually does for me live... but all in all that was a great listen.

Nope. Not joking. I like "What's Going On" a lot more than I do Here My Dear.

Just a matter of taste, I guess...

Is today some sort of occasion to listen to Marvin Gaye? 3-4 people in the past 4-5 hours have mentioned it on FB too...

Ivan, that album is magnificent. Like Bagels, I hope you're joking.

But Bagels, I disagree...What's Going On is not close to being his worst album either.

THIS is by far his worst album:

For real.

thats true OKC, I forgot about that one. i just don't listen to What's Going On too much, it's too coke-y and too Jesus-y for me

some of his 60's Motown (solo) stuff kinda runs a bit same-y for me too, but I wouldn't consider any of it bad

In general, I'm not a fan of the "Motown Sound" either. Once Marvin, Stevie, Smokey, the Temps and others were finally able to break free of the restrictions and compose their own music, we got to hear some true works of art.

Just found P.A. "Operate Under Suspicion" in my desk drawer at work and gave it a few spins in the drive.

I've often seen this band's name, but I've never heard any of their music until tonight.
This record is fucking amazing.
It's on Spotify, if you need it.
