Dont go see Dead Silence. It was ok, but had some boring parts to it. Wait until it comes on DVD or On Demand.

Something MattintheCrown and I can agree on.

I've never witnessed an argument over what is the worst movie ever between to people who had seen the film "Pootie Tang." It's an instant debate-ender.

I haven't seen that one (fortunately), but I'd bet it'd fall into my "bottom of the barrel" category, with such films as "Batman and Robin" and "Eight Crazy Nights" (warning, do not see second film, even for mockery purposes). In my mind, "Pootie Tang" belongs in a special compartment under a false-bottom in the barrel. It's truly in a league of its own, with every moment leaving its viewer in excruciating agony.

A small addition to this list would be the Will Ferrell, Mike Ditka, and Robert Duvall film Kicking and Screaming.

Terrible, horrible, unwatchable garbage. A sin to put on television and yet another soccer movie that should never have been made.

A moment of silence for Jonathan Brandis who offed himself...

Granted, while soccer and film have never produced anything critically acclaimed, I will invariably watch any soccer movie that comes out.

Rugby World Cup is coming up later this year fellas.

I will have to red card that statement Zizou.

The original "Fever Pitch" & "victory" both are quality films.

though it's not a "soccer" movie, it has maybe all of 5 minutes of a soccer match, "green street hooligans" i thought was a quality flick.

and i've heard good things about "goal!".

You men are surprising me with your knowledge. Fever Pitch is a good movie and Green Street Hooligans is decent, if a little bit too Hollywood with the sensationalized violence, which isn't as bad these days as they portray it. The Football Factory is a better version of GSH. Goal! isn't so bad either but it felt a little flat emotionally based on the plot.

along the same lines as "football factory" and "green street", as far as hooliganism (GSH is "hollywoodized" but i still really liked it, and the fight scenes were well done), there's a flick called "I.D." that is supposedly really good too...have not been able to track down a copy of it though. have you seen it?

I've heard about I.D. Is that the one with the undercover cops? That one and this Gary Oldman movie called The Firm I have been unable to find. I don't think either have much to do with the actual game but sometimes a little hooliganism goes a long way. :D

I've always thought that "Victory" was a good flick (despite Stallone's attempts to de-rail it).

true. Yes, "I.D." is the one about the undercover cops. It'd probably be hard to find those ones...they were small UK flicks.
