I just watched a report on Steve Wilson, former Cub pitcher and Cubs pacific rim scout. This guy has been a "Scout" for 10 years and produced what? Maybe Hak Ju Lee? Who is now in the Tampa system?

Hee Sop Choi was his big find and this guy's english name was "He Can't Hit" or Mike North's Chinaman Pitcher!

Of course nothing was worse than Fukudome! I can only assume Hendry relied heavily on Wilson telling him how good Fukudome was going to be in America???Was he OK? Yes, but signing a guy for $48 mill for four years, he did nothing close to either Matsui or Ichiro! Which he was to be a little like both with maybe going 20/20, his highs in both were 13 and 12! Then he was going to be able to hit for Avg! NOT JUST IN IN APRIL AND MAY! and his high average was ironically .273 the day he was traded!

.273/13/58 and 12 SB's!!!!! Career highs, which we could have got out of any mediocre journeyman Matt Stairs type for 1/2 the money!!!!! And this was out Pacific Rim star!!!

The league is now loaded Asian players, pitchers, etc and we are supposed to have this great Asian connection and NOTHING!!!!????
