Did anyone else watch the premier of this on FOX last night? Poorly written, a cast of nobodies, huge plot holes in the first half hour that made no sense, but they had dinosaurs! I'm a sucker for dinosaurs, I'll pretty much watch anything that has them. I'll keep watching, there was some intrigue thrown in there that might be interesting down the road. And did I mention they have dinosaurs?

It was okay. Pretty much a Lost rip-off set in a prehistoric era. I'll stick with it at least for now.

I watched. It was good. Not perfect scripting/acting as shakes said, but it did capture my interest for the full 2 hours. It definitely is a better option than the singing/dancing/fat people/survorgina type shows.

The whole thing where they completely glossed over the intricate prison escape/pilgramige infiltration was completely unforgivable and ridiculous, but as it was going on I just kept telling myself to just ignore how bad that was and think about the dinosaus.

The defense I would give is that they had a whole lot to crunch into a two hour bag. We got some good fighting with Dinosaurs, general plot on why this family moved and how, a conceptualization of the camp and the rival Sixer's, and a baseline understanding of which characters are associated with other members inside the camp (father/daughter, daughter w/ no family but close to the head security guy). Your point on the split is good as it was brief, but laid groundwork for more more to come in the next show. The last scene left a little to be desired as well. The kid leaving messages or whatever.

Is Murph the executive producer?

One way to know for sure - were there any Latin speaking people on the show?

It's not Prison Break. They needed to gloss over it to get to the dinosaus you love so much.

I expect they will revist some of the events that happened before they left for Tera Nova. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't an accident the whole family was in Tera Nova and that originally Taylor gets killed by the assassin.

Love the show so far. Can't wait to see where it goes.

I doubt this show is that sophisticated. I would be very surprised if we're ever shown any flashbacks relating to the prison escape or anything relating to the family's past .

It would be cool and very lost-like if they did that, but I doubt we'll get more than some slight under the surface intrigue and a bunch of dinosaurs.

I hope you are wrong. The show has alot of potential. I am guessing the daughter will crack the clues left by Taylors son.

They already showed that Taylor was a lier. He says Tera Nova is not about power, greed or war, but in the future previews they showed him threatening war over the sixers and showed the sixers leader talking about how Tera Nova is all about control. "whoever controls the past controls the future."

Sounds to me like Taylor is going to end up being the "man in black" and his son more like Jacob.

I found myself wanting to be attracted to one of the females on this show but I really thought there wasn't one that I would really want to have sex with. Meh

I was thinking the same thing about the daughter since they showed her being a math geek.

Hopefully the show will be as cool as you imagine, I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.

The mom could have been hotter. I think she may have sold her soul to get her hubby out of prison. Wouldn't be surprised if she made a deal with whoever is behind the Tera Nova project.

FOX32 will replay the "Terra Nova" premiere tomorrow night at 7p before it settles in on its regular night and time Mondays at 7p next week. Based on the promos I've seen, it looks cool, but expensive to make.

Finally watched it the other night.

Has potential. Maybe dove into some of the mysteries a bit too soon.

Last night's episode was bad. All of the intriguing mystery type stuff the pilot had was completely ignored, and we just got a remake of Birds instead.

Still have not watched the Pilot even. I was really excited for this to debut...but when I DVR'd it...it sat there...and then I read some of your lukewarm reviews.

I hope its not a bomb.

I thought the Pilot was good, and had high hopes after watching it. But if the show is going to be more like last night's episode, then I probably won'y stick around too long.

I deleted it from the DVR and cancelled the series after about 10 minutes into the second episode. Sooooo bad.

That's a bit rash. Go down with the ship.

Alright, I've watched the first 3 episodes so far, and I'm still undecided.

I'll definitely finish off the first season, and see where it goes from there. I don't like how every single episode needs to be its own nicely wrapped up mystery - I rather prefer season-long / series-long story arcs, but I understand that is tough to do well.

Episode 3 was okay. It was definitely alot better than Episode 2.

Let's hope the writers already know where they are going with this rather than making it up as they go along as Lost seemed to do (and I was a Lost fan).
