Every picture of Bartman from here on out should have Quade's face super imposed on it. Then all would be right with the world.

That was an amazingly well done piece. Good or bad, it made me feel like my team just lost the 2003 NLCS, and I was correct. I could have been that nerd.

This documentary was very well done, to bad it focuses on the worst night of my sportsfan life.

I try not to believe in curses, but I keep thinking about that foul ball and where it landed. If it landed a foot in either direction I think the Cubs go on to win the game. If the ball lands closer toward the field Alou catches the ball for the second out and the Marlins rally fizzles. Or it if lands safely in foul teritory then there is no controversy, Alou doesn't throw his tantrum and the Cubs, especially Prior, don't come unglued.

But that damn ball landed in the perfect spot. Then you see the highlight of Jeffrey Maier and his blatant interference which ended up benefitting the Yankees, and I wonder WTF!

really; although, it's the 8th inning, people are wasted, people are angry, and irresponsible. that could've been any fanbase on a night like that, with something like that happening.

I'm not sure about that. And I'm not bashing as a Sox fan. I think the same thing could have happened in Sox Park, but I doubt it would have in St. Louis.

RELIGION: I'm not overly religious (raised catholic...still go to church some)....so as it relates to this topic, I like to ask the question of "where the hell is god in all of this"? Fucking ballplayers are always spouting off thanking the lord & jesus christ their savior, etc....and I say how do you let million dollar ballplayers and managers off the hook for choking, how do you let a team with little or no fan base in the Marlins go on to win a 2nd world series and leave almost a century long suffering fan base go on "suffer" yet another excruciating and incredible loss? How do you have 80 yr old grandmothers sitting in their seats at wrigley crying? And most of all, how do you make a martyr out of a innocent fan? So tell me what's right about all of that and tell where "your" god is in all of that??

OK...before anyone rips me, I really don't care about the above. Honestly I don't. I just find it an interesting topic sometimes, and frankly it flies in the face of all that is holy! ha

I agree it was repulsive. But can you imagine what it would have been like in Philly? They would probably have proceeded to cannibalize him before the inning was over.

That would've happened everywhere.

And I know what RFDC is saying. He may have been murdered on the spot.

Absolutely...

...Cardinal fans would have appluaded the effort displayed and given him a curtain call...all the while the blowhards in the booth would be talking about how they are the best fans in baseball!

eagles fans...probably.

phillies fans are not nearly as bad, mostly because the fanbase is pretty spoiled right now. and they're front runners, kind of like blackhawks fandom has erupted here.

things are different now that the link is there, though, as far as eagles fans go. according to friends of mine going to eagles games, they seemed to have weeded out the hooligans.

it's a different mentality, rf. the phillies have won, the eagles haven't. the eagles still remind of failure, the phillies of winning.

The best rival baseball team experience I've had is with St. Louis fans. Not even close.

So you don't think a Bartman like happening in the NLCS would cause the Phillie fans to revert to Eagle fans? I guess I just find that hard to believe.

Brewer fans were cool when they were in the AL.

Minnesota fans are the best now.

this year? i'm sure there'd be angry and drunken assholes as there will always be drunken assholes. but this myth that people seem to have about phillies fans are some kind of demonic force is pretty laughable. the only incidents that have besmirched philly fans are related to eagles games; and only a small number of fans were really responsible. i don't think there'd be the same "here we go" attitude about the phillies. the flyers, the eagles, yes...not the phillies.

it's a town that has a LOT of white trash. but a lot of that white trash can no longer afford to go to games.
