Is this based on lyrics, content, album sales, all of the above?

Snoop and Dre do not approve of this list.

It's my list. Your list can be based on whatever you want. Mine was based primarily on who I like. Lyrics and popularity also played a role.

Here's a real good one:

I think my list would change day by day.

You listed most of them but i'd just have to re shuffle them.

What in the hell kind of party would allow this song to be played 3 times?

Kid's list will include people that we haven't heard of, besides for Lupe Fiasco and Royce Da 5'9

I'm no rap expert, but I think it's a toss up between Eli, and Envy.

Im working on one. I think it would be interesting if we all made lists and compiled points NCAA polling style

My problem is its very hard for me to separate and rank Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, or NWA.

I like those three as groups. But Ill stick to individual rappers.

It was HIS party.

If it was my party, it would've been played a minimum of 7 times.

Actually it was a friend's sister's party, and it was horrible. White trash was everywhere, teenagers were there getting trashed. Adults near the age of 40 were fighting with teenagers. Myself and the few other sane people in attendance just watched and took in all the hilariousness, and of got down to some Snow.

it's a pretty decent list. putting aside actual order, the only ones I really think are debatable for inclusion are Canibus, Bustah Rhymes, Too Short, Big Pun and maybe Eazy E.

i thought about who i would include instead and the problem is everyone i thought of has some kind of flaw...hard to say they would be in a top 25 of all time. but others i thought of: Kool G Rap, Black Thought, Buckshot, Blu, Prodigy, Percee P, Q-Tip, Lord Finnesse, Elzhi, Guru, MF Doom, Masta Ace, OC, Redman

the other issue i have is for instance Slick Rick....i know he was the first storyteller and all that, but i don't really think he was that great of a rapper overall. i recognize he was a pioneer and all that and I like some of this stuff, I'd just have a hard time saying he was in a top 10/20 of all time

I love Rick. If his career wasn't derailed and he wasn't forced into rushing that album out, he would have been on top for a while imo. But his story telling was second to none...

If you like 25 rappers better than him, dont put him in.

Im making my 25 favorite rapper list with no regard for public perception or pioneer/legend status
