As a guy who was a complete bustout in Dallas, Williams came here looking to restore his name and reputation as a credible NFL wide receiver. he signs a 1 year deal, hoping to prove himself and then get another lucrative long term deal after this year. But he's too stupid and lazy to put in the work to make all that happen. Instead he has done nothing but confirm that he is a piece of crap. Oh, he may have one or two good games during the season, should the Bears keep him all year. But he's definitely not the kind of #1, go-to receiver that the Bears were hoping he would be. Anyone who had watched this turd in Dallas already expected this might well happen. I would waive him just to send the message to the rest of the team, that guys going through the motions but not truely producing are not wanted here.
