I have been saying it for 3 weeks now. They are not a great team, but they have a GREAT WR! He has been the complete difference in all of their games. They have come behind due to Megatron. That guy is awesome.

Tillman will be on him and this could be a very good spot for a Chris Harris return. Both tall guys, especially in secondary circles.

Oh and if we are up 20, dont throw two INT's for TDS!

Yes it could be ugly, but, I'll have to see it happen before I believe it. The Bears will have a good game plan against them. But, this is three weeks in a row that the defense couldn't really get off the field. But, this Panthers offense looks like it can be pretty potent; I wondered how much of Newton was just hype or inflated numbers, but wow, that was pretty impressive. The defensive line got some penetration, but couldn't finish. They're going to have to finish against Stafford and get some turnovers.

the texans COULD be contenders.

but one thing is true...the bears are not that good.

They could be, but my point was that they would've been the past 5 years also.

This is lovie's ideal day. All 3 phases score td's. What else could you want? Screw having a good offense and scoring points when you can just make the D and return game put points on the board.

Actually I think the Texans comparison is more apt. Schaub and Stafford are a wash. Same with Daniels and Pettigrew. Texans have a better overall defense with the Joseph addition but the Lions aren't terrible defensively. Good young O-Lines. Texans running game with Tate and Foster will be better running the ball but receiving and blocking they are similar. Both should crash the NFL playoff party this year.

You must have gotten into Jerry Garcia's stuff. THe Lions don't look particularly good either. Did Romo not light them up just as I predicted. If they were a good team, analysts would be decrying them getting down by dd in each of the last three games.

My statement is more a recognition that the Bears D seems to have lost something. It is most troubling with the run defense up the middle, which was an absolute strength in the past. The good thing is that the Lions are not very good at running up the middle.

Bears are traditionally not good on Monday nights. They have had problems stopping the pass.

I never liked the teams chances this season and predicted 7-9, so nothing I have seen thus far has changed my mind much. I did expect they would lose to the Falcons and yet I believe a fair amount of the problem with that was thinking the Falcons were more like the 2010 version which they are not. I fully expect the Lions to beat the Bears. Their defense is getting turnovers and Cutler will be serving them up on a platter. He has been mostly terrible in prime-time games and the Lions defense should provide plenty of pressure on the Bears patch-work O-line which should spur Cutler into multiple turnovers. In addition, the Bears defense will have no answer for Calvin Johnson. Pettigrew may do his best Jermichael Finley imitation as well. The only chance the Bears may have, is if they can get to Stafford and put him out of the game as happened last season. Lions 30-13 over the Bears.

the panthers worked that bears defense up n down the field, if not for some self inflicted penalties..they win...the panthers outplayed the bears...and i think the shockey td (interference call) was bullshit. the lions are going to beat the bears both times this season. the bears got some calls yesterday to keep them in the game

The Bears had some calls against them against GB that could have changed the game. Big deal.

The truth is, while I still feel worse about this team after yesterday's win, I still think they win 9 games. That probably won't get them into the playoffs.
