What we have here is something interesting. From the moment I registered here through the time Mike North left the Score, many posters were pining for the disappearance of North from Chicago's airwaves. With the exception of the short-lived Webio deal in 2009, that's exactly what happened.

When Mully & Hanley took over officially, there were a lot of people on this site who praised them incessantly for few reasons I can think of other than the fact that they were not Mike North. They were still the same shitty hosts then as they are now, yet they got a lot more love in the aftermath of North's demise.

Fast-forward three years. It seems that most here have now conceded that Mully & Hanley are unfunny, unintelligent, boring, and completely inept radio hosts. But my question is:

Hypothetically, would any of you welcome a Mike North return to your Score mornings? There are no right or wrong answers in my opinion. I just want to gauge what you think.

No. North is a has been that will never recapture his glory time. His ego grew so much that nothing reasonable remained. His shows have continued to deteriorate at every new venture. Hopefully, he is gone forever from any prime radio time.

I rarely listen to Dummy and Handjob. I would definitely tune in to North.

M&H is embarrassing. I heard the Dinardo interview a few days ago and I kind of felt bad for him having to sit there and listen to their garbage.
That being said... there's no place for racist bullshit on the airwaves in my opinion. North had his chance. He is done. I won't miss him.

Saying 'at least it's not North' still works for me when it comes to this show. Though M&H are bad.

I'm on Team Mully though, he just needs a better co-host.

I wonder how the Score itself thinks about the 'anyone but North' approach to their morning show. I'm guessing M&H still do ok ratings and sponsors-wise, and are cheap enough, to make it all justifiable. But they have to know they're missing an opportunity with mornings.

Easily would rather have North back than the current train wreck. I would even take Murph in that slot over M&H

Agree with those that state they would obviously take the Mike North of twenty years ago, but since the SS Meatball has since set sail it makes for a tough choice. North has morphed into a truly un-listenable blowhard, so I'd have no interest in hearing him on real radio.

That said, the more I have listened to the current morning show the more I realize how bad they are. The constant talking and yelling over each other, the bad jokes and puns, the constant England and Ireland talk, and the remedial sports banter just makes for a frustrating listen. At best, they're decent background noise and score an occasional good guest.

Gun to my head? Guess I have to choose these guys, as there is no sign that Mike North has learned anything from his tumble down the sports media world. If he made some announcement that he was going to try to get back to his roots, and stay in the sports world, I would take a gamble on North, however.

Id rather hear North's political thoughts than Mully or Hanley's thoughts on anything.

Bring back MNMS!

I don't get it. So many people hate Murph's voice (and him) but North's gets a free ride. When North was on, followed by Murph, I was guaranteed not to listen just because both of their voices grated my nerves.

North was so bad at the end that I actually listened to Mike and Mike. Since North left, I haven't listened to Mike and Mike since. M&H are bad, but their guests make the show listenable.
