Some of you guys are actually buying into Mac's claim that he's thirsty to be #1 overall huh? Men, the primary interest of him and his partners is to accumalate as much vacation time/days off as possible and use them. All three off last week at the same time. Great strategy. Than Mac comes on today and acts like he cares so much about being on top. They buy that Mac...trust me I don't. So...how many shows in a row will you, Harry, and Jurco work consecutively together? The current count is at 2. Odds of getting this into double digits is..?

While I agree with your point that two stations should be better. Competition amongst the two hasn't necessarily made things better. Sportsradio is almost unlistenable from 9AM to 2PM M-F in Chicago.

So I ask you, who are all these underutilized hosts, and why aren't they provided to us during that five hour block of time right smack dab in the middle of the day?

Why wouldn't Mac be more worried about his show than the station as a whole? By your logic, if you were the host of a show would you prefer your show tanking, but the station as a whole excelling? Im sure Mac would like the station to perform well, but his paychecks are based on his show's success. In fact, when the station doesn't do as well and MJH is one of the few successful shows, then it gives mac mor leverage I would think.

Well, I am part of that coalition, but it does seem sometimes when listening to ESPN Radio 1000 that they have the attitude of being this big bad machine that can not be defeated by The Score.

My love for The Score was lost long ago. But lately, I have found myself listening to 670 more and more...during the morning hours. Mike and Mike are going nowhere, but I have...left of the dial and I can't believe I'm doing it.

Well Mac once again sounds like a hypocrite when he says he only cares about his show. He stood puffy chested and supported the move to bring in Sean Salisbury and poo-pooed all the people on this board who thought it was a bad idea and now seeing that Salisbury is "WHAT WE THOUGHT HE WAS" , Dan can't push him out the door fast enough. I also remember Dan wanting to throw his hat in the ring to help be a program director as well.

Dan also had a big impact on Chet being brought into the mix as well . I understand your voice should be heard at the station and you've earned that respect but don't tell us you only care about your show Dan . It insults my intelligence and makes me very angry.....Now take Carlo to the airport..

Im usually not a Mac apologist, but where did he say that he ONLY cares about his show. I think Mac just cares about his show more than the station as a whole which makes sense to me.

Take Mac to task all you want on that other stuff. Frankly, I don't know what this show ratings argument is really all about.

But, isn't the above quote a good thing? I'm glad that a sports radio guy will just admit he was wrong and want to fix the problem. It sure beats someone sticking to their guns and preserving a bad show just because they do not want to admit they are wrong. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.
