7. Larry Appleton, "Perfect Strangers": Cousin Larry was always trying to be something he wasn't, getting caught up in lies and exotic schemes to impress his girlfriend Jennifer and anyone else paying attention. But in the end, just being Larry was always more than enough. He was a master of physical comedy and the king of alliteration-filled dialogue. Whatever the situation, Larry always had a plan.

Is this a joke?

Yes you see the humor came because one cousin was very straight laced and the other was from a small country so alot of hijinks and hilarity ensued....

RPB, it has to be a joke. No way in the world he is even close to the top 10 and the fact that he is ahead of characters like Ralph Kramden, Ed Norton, Bob Hartley, and many others is an absolute travesty. And where the hell is Archie Bunker? Dude has to be in the top 10, maybe even top 5?

I'm guessing the guy who made that list is a big fan of "Taxi".

It seems like this guy hasn't seen any sitcom since 1980 besides Alf and Perfect Strangers.

The fact that there is no one from Seinfeld, The Cosby Show, and Full House should get this guy deported.

Actually, judging by the url, this may actually be a list from 1985.

Thanks for the current news bigfan!

Yes. Seinfeld did not become funny until Jackie Chiles was on there. Thank You.

The shows on that list are old enough to qualify for a guest spot on Sports and Torts.

Yeah I mean he had Latka's wife 8th overall.

But Taxi always gets a lot of love. It was a great show but I think TV guide or someone did a list and Louie was #1 in the history of television?

First of all, he wasnt even the best character on the show, that would be Jim.

Secondly the rationale that he was the first character meant to be disliked or hated is forgetting a certain Racist named Archie.

Towards the bottom of the first page there's a link to a list of all 47 states in alphabetical order.

Barney Fife is 6th??? Fuck this guy.

I think the guy at #7 was just on Curb with Larry David.

He should be higher. Here are my Top 5:

1) Jerry Stiller-For work in both Seinfeld & King of Queens
2) Kevin James-King of Queens
3) Don Knotts-Andy Griffith Show
4) Ted Knight- Ted Baxter was hilarious on MTM
5) Don Adams-Get Smart

The only list that Kevin James should be in the top 5 is the list of unfunny fat people in hollywood.
