I have a feeling he is pushing for Ranger's job with a one inning per game gig like they do with the Cubs.

Come on. You know he wants the manager's job. He has all that experience managing his softball team, done it for years.

However, he and Hawk would be awesome, can't miss TV.

I can't beleive that Dr. Ken & Beni Hanna have actually visited North's website more than I have the past two months. I just stopped cold turkey.
All the ripping of him on here probably knocked some sense into me. That's not easy!

Maybe North replaces Ranger on pre & post? Maybe he joins Farmio & DJ in the radio booth?
North back on the Score!

I just noticed that North's videos seem to end in September. I don't know what he's just sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Seriously, what the hell is the Village of Rosemont advertising? As if the convention center and venues aren't advertisements on their own? Should the other villages advertise, too? And say what? (Looking at their web site for anything amusing. Here goes:) "In addition to excellent surface access, Maywood has two commuter stops along the Metra line serving Gurnee." Imaginary train line! Well, there's still the Geneva line...

I like that this question is "frequently asked." Is "candy store" code for "crackhouse"?

the going rumor in the halls is that North will be back in some form or function with the Score by next summer, tied in with the Sox somehow. Interesting stuff. I don't think anybody other than management knows any more than that yet.

Show up to a remote of any show and I'm sure you'd get the same "exclusivity" I have. It's not much info, just what I heard.

My take on it is that the Sox have a lot of loyal fans who attend multiple games. They take those fans for granted. I guarantee I dropped over $2000 in that park this year not counting the tickets. I don't think they have any clue who I am. No, I'm not a corporate skybox owner, but I think a guy who spends around four grand on your product in a season is someone you'd want to take care of when you're constantly whining about how enough people don't come out. The fucking Sox don't even know who I am except when they send the invoices. They jerk us around at every turn. I've got the tickets for 27 of 81 games, but you give them to someone else for the playoffs and shuffle me upstairs? Fuck you!

Was at a remote or just a Score thing and I have a feeling that if the rumor of North even coming by for a drink of water existed, we would have heard it.

Pretty sure SP Mack will concur on this one. As the tequilla and vodka was flowing so were some thoughts! Free flowing!!!!

If that rumor had any reality, I can only imagine it would have been a topic.

And I don't think the Score plans anything that far in advance either. They never have, why start now.

Regular guy gets screwed? Sounds like business as usual for anything.

I figured there was some disconnect with Reinsdorf and the fans you were referring to.

You're right about a lot of the above, bigfan. But I did hear it, albeit in response to a specific question. I don't really care, not a North fan nor basher per se, but it did come up.

Walked through Soldier Field Concourse with Jerry, via the regular concourse, pre 2005, was not a fun moment. We walked really fast!

Jerry's heart is in the right place. He would try to do almost anything for season ticket holders, the problem is that he has his own ass licking society working for him telling him what they are going to do and everyone of them is scared for their jobs. Similar to most gigs, you stay on the straight and narrow, you dont lose the job, not many employees in any job looking to make a big splash. Thus you get nothing innovative.

Unless, it gets featured in Sports Business Daily, thats how you get noticed. It's why all the nutty ideas come from minor leagues. Jerry R might see you and want to hire you.

I assume, but don't know, they have season ticket holder appreciation event(s), as the Bulls go out of their way to do whatever they can for people, always sending gifts, etc.

Cubs will be unveiling some EVENT this year, they are keeping under wraps, Nov 29th? About season tickets etc.

Nov. 29th? Isn't that when you can pick new seats from the poor saps that didn't put their 10% up?

There is. The Cubs market to their fans. At least McDonough did. They might not come right out and say, "Come to the World's Biggest and Best Beer Garden where the girls are hot and the beers are cold" because they'd catch too much heat for it, but they get that message out there just fine. I'm not sure who the Sox think their fan is, but I can tell you one thing, it isn't some guy who is going to be enticed by "All In".
