this was beyond unacceptable tonight. this isnt basketball, you cant just shit your pants and clean up for the next game tomorrow. you cant just litterally STAND THERE WHILE YOUR FUCKIN QUARTERBACK IS SCARED FOR HIS GOD DAMNED LIFE. you think forte doesnt make enough money?

HEY, DICKHEAD LOVIE- KICK THE FUCKING FEILD GOAL HOLY fuck i almost threw my tv through the wall in the 1st quarter.

the only way lovie smith and mike martz could make up for this game would be to go in a dark corner and blow eachother to death. fuck them. tonight was way too far.

I just wonder why, Cutler doesn't start screaming about the fact that he may get killed every game, he maybe could start change.

They said on the Danny Mac Show, that people close there feels they will all be saved.

cutler has said he is getting killed in different words. its not something you have to analyze, he gets hit EVERY_SINGLE_PLAY. no other game in the nfl was like this one tonight. they never are. nobody lets their qb get fucked up EVERY_SINGLE_PLAY. this was autrocious. the nfl should suspend the bears from playing its that bad.

Just wait until Briggs, Urlacher, Peppers and Tillman get too old to compete. They are screwed. There is no depth.

Its getting to the point where its no fun anymore... and I am sorry.

With the line the way it is, there will be no success. Why even bother trying to improve other parts of the team until you can get the line able to give Culter 4 seconds to pass? It shouldn't be a little push off and pray, you need to actually learn how to block players. I feel like they should nuke the team, but at the same time, I look at Detroit and they were 0-16 just three years ago! We need to figure this thing out. But for next year. I'm ready to call it this year.

When the best players on the team are all getting older and there is zero depth you are fucked. It is going to take a new GM and a few years of drafting to get back on the right track. This team has been blessed and cursed by exceptional individual play on defense but age is not on the side of the players providing that high level of play. Their great play has masked alot of issues and once they are gone things are going to be bad because the cabinet is empty for every single position on this team.

It's over for the team as composed. The defense is giving up huge run plays fairly consistently at this point, and it will only be older next year. With the defense being this squad's base, it's done. They need to blow it all up and start over, and this needs to be done from the top down. Angelo absolutely, positively must go; you cannot entrust this man to a rebuild.

It's going to be a rough several years, that much is clear.

But having to pay Cutler and Peppers you can't just blow it up. Those two will never stand for rebuilding nor should they.

The good thing about the NFL is no guaranteed contracts. Get a real GM and reload. 75% of this roster needs turned over at least.

How Angelo has retained his job, with his utterly atrocious draft record, is... well, quite remarkable. He's got to be a laughing stock around the league.

And Martz, wow was I wrong about bringing him in here. This is a square peg trying to be jammed into a round hole, to put it nicely. He's got shit to work with, but this system is easily smashed by today's defenses. And everyone on the team, from the QB to the head coach to the o-line guys trying to block it, have to know it and are embarrassed by it. They have to be. And Angelo didn't want him to begin with. I gotta think he's got to be launched mid-season. This can't keep happening.

Wow.

Do you really wonder about this? Given the amount of shit he's gotten nationally for apparently poor body language, it's pretty easy for me to understand why he's not screaming about his situation on a regular basis.

Bow to the Rodgers statue in the corner and shut your pie hole. This won't be pretty. :(

My worry is the next couple of years because of Cutler, Urlacher and Briggs they will manage to win enough games to never get a franchise changing draft choice or two.

I hate to say it but I'd start putting feelers out for what we could get for Briggs.

Maybe because he's a grown up? or he does it behind closed doors where it belongs?

Would you trust the drooling idiots in charge with a "franchise changing draft pick" slot?

Maybe a 4th round pick?

They need a new GM before this plan makes sense. I dont want Jerry with a plethora of mid round picks, how many useless S and LB does one team need...

The Bears would be lucky to get a 6th round pick for Briggs. When he was a free agent no one wanted him and I don't think much has changed.

I don't understand why any of this is acceptable. Why these people have not been run out of the city. This isn't some backwater town, and it is the same stuff year after year. The list is long. But what is the malfunction with not being able to get plays to the fucking QB???

Whether it is Forbes, or whatever, everyone seems to know that top down, this organization is a joke. And it is part of the reason I will never shoulder Cutler with any significant blame. Could you imagine being part of this train wreck? This is stupidity that is all-encompassing. It infects every aspect of the team. I know damn well that none of the core players are happy, and I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear what they actually think.

Forget WRs, this is where players come to die. I have no pride in this team. Its just embarrassing now. These people are god-awful, stupid.

This board is way too negative. Mac would never call for the firing of an entire coaching staff.

A staff made up of failed (and I mean, big-time failure) coaches and a roster made up of mostly third-string talent and/or over the hill has-beens. Shocking this team wins at all.

Not getting the play in to the QB, again and again and again, is laughably incompetent. What I just don't understand is, why doesn't Lovie Smith take control of this. All he has to do is say, MIKE, from now on, if the play doesn't get in right away, Jay is calling the play. That's it.

Oh, and if I were Lovie, I would also say, MIKE, from now on, Jay can call audibles. Period.

I know, audibles aren't in the Martz system. Having a big strong receiving tight end, like the elite teams, isn't in the Martz system. Getting plays in on time isn't in the Martz system. Not using 7 step drops against corner blitzers coming in untouched isn't in the system. Silent counts aren't in the system. Max protect isn't in the system. 6'5" receivers aren't in the system.

You know what?

The system sucks.

You cant think that way. Its time to rebuild. You stockpile picks and those mid round picks can be traded for higher rounds. I mean get rid of Angelo by all means, but you cant wait on making prudent moves til he's gone.

One of the hallmarks of the Lovie era is a lack of preparedness for games.
