Look at St Louis, no hoopla, no excuses, no massive rebuilding projects, no trying to hire bigtime front office people...no....they stay within themselves and they succeed...even in years they werent expected to do much...if Skip Schumaker, David Freese, and Rafael Furcal are the answer in St Louis, EPstein CERTAINLY doesnt need to be the answer in Chicago

whistler has gone and set himself up with a new schtick for the next ~5/+ years or whatever, and he's gone ambitious this time... he's resisted the urge to blow theo. that's a tough one, tho not so tough if he's the dark troll side of JORR or whatever, but like, give the guy credit... he has a board rep to maintain and he's wasted no time setting himself up for years of starry-eyed ricketts and his guy bully/(new-catch-adjective here)-Epstein.
