No way. Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan & Wisconsin will have a shot long before ND.

None of those schools are winning a national title any time soon.

The Huskers & Badgers are a hell of a lot closer than the Irish.

Do you get points or trophies for being closer now?

Doubtful. Well at least a Big Ten team will be in the title game before ND is.

Being in title game is not winning a championship. ND will win a championship before a Big 10 school.

A good win that unfortunately just makes the 2 losses suck more.

I was there...3 more turnovers for Irish.....dropping the punt in the 4th quarter was precious....
It is nearly impossible to have a bad seat at Notre Dame...but I found it....the goal post crossbar at eye level....LMAO!!!!

Bump, Well with the loss today to USC, pretty much dashes all hope of a BCS Bowl, turnovers did them in again. They should win the rest of their games and the way Stanford is playing right now, lose that one so a 4 loss season.

I will say where this loss hurts more, I watching some of the local pre-game and they were talking about all the recruits in for this game and they wanted to make a big impression, probably not the one you wanted to make, unless your USC.

Just another mid-level team like Illinois.

Nothing special.

Bump

Does anybody find it odd, that on Monday, Notre Dame named their defensive backs coach the Offensive Coordinator in Chuck Martin.

Reading his bio, he was always offense, was the only way to get him is to put him on Defense. The did say the Secondary play improved under his watch.

I just thought it was strange that a guy coaching Defense, would switch to Offensive Coordinator.

I like the move. Him and Kelly go way back together from Grand Valley State days, so offensively this is a great pair working together on the same side of the ball again.

Martin was running the offense / show at GVS, so going to ND and taking the db's was something he was more than capable of picking up / handling. Like you said...probably only way to get him was to put him on D until this moment arrived.

I think ND fans will be happy with the results!

Gunner Kiel apparently changed his mind again. So after committing to Indiana, then LSU, he is now going to Notre Dame and will actually enroll in a class to make it 'official'

I'm a ND fan, but this kid seems like a real db

Well he was named after 1 half of Nelson.

So now it is being said that he changed his mind and is going to ND because his mom plead for him to stay closer to home. I wonder if she will enjoy habitual red ass Brian Kelly screaming at her son for the entire duration of the next 4 years.

Gunner is making a big mistake hitching his wagon to ND & Kelly rather than LSU & Miles.

My desire for Notre Dame to be bad every year might be influencing my judgement on this...

Best start since Willingham's 8-0

What will they be ranked? 15? 12?

As long as the point differential thing is not too bad then my point still stands. 8)

You kidding right? The way things stand NIU would win at least 50% of the time.
