Joe Sheehan Having Octavio Dotel intentionally walk Nelson Cruz is just so bad. Expected OBP is like .115.

Joe Sheehan must not have been watching baseball this month. It was a good call. Murphy is bad.

I hate to be "that guy" because this entire run has been on house money, but for the Cards to get this close and to now lose two games that they should have won really sucks...

Bringing in Jason Motte here is just the capper on the whole inning. My god.

What games should they have won? This hardly qualifies, and the luck has been evenly distributed throughout the series, to say the least...

Yes, having left double digit runners on base, they should have won this game...

Game 2...1-0 lead with your closer in...you should win that.

Wow!!! They are going to be second guessing Larussa big time tonight. Not saying I don't agree with what Larussa has done, but when it doesn't work you don't look good.

A lot of it wasn't second guessing though.

Ok, but to the manager it is. I just saw the same thing here, and it amazes me in the playoffs that the manager can go from being a hero to a goat in 24 hours.

Nolan Ryan looks like he could still kick Ventura's ass.

That seems like silly logic. It's just as easy to say the Rangers should have hit Garcia much better in Game 2. Let's just say they were due. And the Eangers could've easily gone for 6-7 runs in the 8th today if we're playing the What If game. And who knows how Game 3 plays out If the ump doesn't blow that call letting in four runs in the beginning of Game 3. The What If game is fun but ultimately just excuses.

Im rooting for the Rangers to win and all but they can take those fucking state flags and shove them up their collective asses. Anytime they want to secede is fine by me.

First off, I'm not taking anything away from the Rangers...they've WON these games...

...just saying, from a fan's perspective, when your team has a lead in the ninth with your "lights out he's not really the closer but everyone knows he the closer" guy, you HAVE to win that game.

When you have this many opportunities to score runs with your ace on the mound, you HAVE to win this game.

I'm not saying the Rangers are getting lucky...far from it...the Cards have gotten lucky and have squandered the opportunities horribly.

And yes, Napoli for MVP, no question.

Without a doubt he is, but it's not much of a field so far. Any number of folks could still win the WS MVP but it's gonna take a full team effort to win it for either team I'm guessing.

Not that it made any different, but Lynn came in for the IBB not because Tony wanted him to, but because the guy on the other end of the phone heard the wrong name...

Well, come to find out, LaRussa wanted to go with Motte to face Napoli, but he wasn't available since the guy in teh bullpen had Lynn warming up instead...

...can you hear me now?
