If Don Henley covered U2, would it blow your mind?

That would be horrible.

"A new Nine Inch Nails cover of U2’s “Zoo Station” will appear on Q Magazine’s upcoming tribute album to Achtung Baby. The album will be included free in the magazine’s October 25th issue. More info and track listing here."

Apparenlty all the tracks are up on Q's website...going to give them a listen now...

...though I doubt I'll think any of them hold a candle to the originals...hard to improve on the best album ever.

I would have to kill Henley if he did that.

I've already heard about half of this, with So Cruel by Depeche mode and Love is blindness by Jack White being the standouts so far.
I thought Damien rice's 'One' pretty much sucked, but I usually skip over that song even when U2 is playing it. Not a favorite.
you can order the magazine/cd from u2.com. $7.95 US. I know I'm going to.

Listened to all of them...most were meh...Depeche Mode doing So Cruel was pretty good...Killers gave a solid effort on Ultraviolet...

...can't believe I'm saying this, but Snow Patrol doing Mysterious Ways might have been my favorite...

...I agree with you on One, shirtless...well, at least that this version sucks...U2 doing it is my favorite song.

Jack White doing Love is Blindness was too forced...and I'm not sure what the point of the "Even Better..." remix was...didn't they do a shitload of those for the single 20 years ago?

I disagree with ya on White's LIB sounding "forced".
I thought he aced it, but I respect your opinion.
I think "One" might actually be my least favorite song on AB.
Diff'rent strokes. I think the one I'm the least looking forward to is
The Fray :puker: doing TTTYAATW.
Glasvegas' Acrobat was pretty good.
And the Killers song was pretty great too.

Dude, have you ever looked up 'Lemon Chile' on YouTube?
They are by far and away the best tribute band I have ever seen in my life.
And they play the songs that U2 won't, like Acrobat, Do you feel loved, RHMT, etc.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND>

Funny thing about the Fray song...I was listening to the songs on a playlist on youtube...11 tracks...guess which one the playlist didn't include?

Never heard of Lemon Chile...but I will be looking it up now.
