6:40ish today,

Biggs is on, they are talking about TO working out and zero NFL scouts showed up. Mully says "If a tree falls in the forest and TO works out....."

Really Mully? C'mon, there are 2nd graders that think that joke is lame.

I heard that. The joke was lame, especially since the story about no NFL scouts surfacing for the workout was a funny enough story on its own. No embellishment was required.

At about 7:12 this morning, Mully and Hanley were discussing Devon Larussa's tweet equating Ron Washington with a crackhead. This topic lead to the following exchange:

Mully: Washington's choice of drugs, cocaine, makes him kind of a throwback. He's trying to bring back the 80s (or something like that).
Hanley: Laughs
Mully: Or was he doing the rock or powder? Isn't the rock a gateway drug, or is that ganj--I get confused.
Hanley: I thought the gateway was in St. Louis.

I'm now convinced Hanley has read this thread and says stuff like the above just to fuck with people on the board.

Hanley. The KING of bad jokes shits al over Bonnie Green's bad joke this morning.

Mrs. Green: I read somewhere that Adam Dunn was actually elligable for the Cy Young this year due to his strikeout numbers.

Horrible Hanley: Well, maybe next year :|

Mrs. Green: Um.....ok.....Well, there's a gapers delay on the Bishop Ford......

The sad thing is, Bonnie is actually pretty clever but they drag her down. Especially Hanley. Mully actually doesn't talk to her very much. Hanley is always playing footsies with her though.

I am afraid Larry needs to be promoted to the morning show and these 2 need to be reassigned as beat reporters for the Chicago Fire. Larry needs some help though but idk who the hell it would be.

The thing is, he wouldnt have to alter anything. Thats been his humor all along.

I wasnt listening but the nanosecond Gateway came out of Mully's mouth I would have known Hanley was going one of two ways

Golden Gate Bridge or Gateway City. STL being in the WS confirmed it.

She seems like a very nice lady though.

Let's try not to insult people who don't really deserve it.

I think her voice is fair game since...ya know....she's on the radio. But I do agree about the other stuff. It's not like she's putting herself out there as a sex symbol or anything.

And before anyone asks....yes I would.

c'mon man...have some decency

and also.....you could say the same things about other people- Bernstein (dwarf/big forehead), Mully (on death bed/partially entombed), etc.....they're often mocked for their appearance and they aren't "putting themselves out there" either

I'd like to see Anne Maxfield and Bonnie Green in a mud-wrestling match.

Yeah, and I think it's stupid when people here go after hosts for the way they look. To me, that screams, "I can't find anything else to say, so I'll just call him ugly or make 'short' jokes." That's cheap and uncreative.

Exception for when the hosts criticize someone's looks?

Fair to point out that WishIwasTheo and Wheezy are not winning any beauty contests anytime soon?

This morning just after 5am they are chatting about possible hires for the Cubs managerial job.
Mike Maddux is mentioned and then Dale Sveum. For some reason Mulligan thought it would be
funny to yell out, " Sveum, I wanna live forever " based on the theme song for the old TV show
Fame. After a minute of them laughing about that one... PTFB to music

Maybe for them but I found it to be corny, especially the 3rd or 4th time he did it and and couldn't stop
patting himself on the back for coming up with it. I wouldn't have found it as objectionable if they would
have gotten their laughs in and moved on.

Got it, you had me worried there. Might even be worth hearing on the podcast. After the
first time he comes up with it he starts trying to come up with other lyrics like, " Sveum,
I wanna coach forever"... etc.... you can imagine I am sure.
