I remember listening to Laurence awhile back, prolly about a year or two... and I think it was actually during a shift he was covering on the mid-day or afternoon drive show... anyways, Laurence got to listing the ~4 people at the Score who he had nearly came to blows with, gave some kind of "UGH..." disdain-seething vibe, and then said that he had to be held back by multiple people multiple times, and afterwards he had no problems with these people "cuz they know i'll hit ya!!" - THAT = SHAKEN, NOT STIRRED.

off the top of my head... i think it was something like

1) T-Dub/J-Hood - I know there was one fellow brother of color in there... I wanna say it was T-Dub, cuz i think hoodie is overall a pretty solid dude who doesn't seem to have real beef with anyone except for telander, who he prolly wanted to strangle. Anyways, I'm sure this near-fight was pursued so Laurence didn't look like a pussy using his fearsome blackness to only terrorize the dreams of hapless white people who have been conditioned by suburban society to fear black people, cuz like, if you see a black person you gotta clench up and get defensive cuz they're there to rob you, steal your car, or rape your wife... maybe all three if they're bored. and they have flash mobs now dontcha know =D

2) for some reason, i think laurence had beef with telander? did it go that way?

3) there was one producer in here... for some reason my gut says it's herb, but i really doubt that cuz how could people wanna get in a fight with herb? 1) he could absorb the blows like mad and 2) he seems like such an easygoing dude.

4) and wasn't there another one with... jiggets, or maybe another soon-middleaged white guy... idk if it was a producer or a show host, altho i'd love to see laurence go at tom shaer or someone and have to get restrained... that'd be perfect.

sorry for the usual sinibabble, but im on 2hr of sleep and whilst tweeting with jhood this morning this came to mind and i was trying to get hoodie to tell me, but i think he's too professional / not-entering-the-world-of-pain-that-is-fucking-with-laurence to even tell me in a DM.

i always wondered if laurence was a bit sore that the ranger outkicked his coverage ( =D ) with ginger zee, mainly because ginger's ability to naturally lubricate trumps that of laurence's hand. i'm thinking that our hero and protagonist wanted to SHAKE THAT and next thing you know she's up to her oddly-diagonal eyeballs in beggar's pizza gift cards and before you know it she's instantly able to turn any seating surface into a slip-n-slide whenever she hears the naked gun / police squad theme song.

/me thinks if laurence got him some of those fancy square rimmed glasses he'd have had a better shot.

I definitely remember the Tyson story. He was in the studio promoting a future fight. I think Fred said on the air the permanent scaring led to Tyson getting the face tattoo.

It was definitely not Rongey. Sir takes pride in having brought him and Zee together and was one of the people who impugned her morality on air after she dumped him.

It was definitely Tommy Williams. He spent a long time one day talking about how Tommy used to keep other blacks at the station down.

I also think it was Murph, not because anything actually happened, but because drinky didn't like Murph and Sir wanted to be one of the guys.
