Just got around to watching last week's episode. If everything works as planned, it could be a great move. Go 6-6 into the merge and use Cochran to blindside coach's tribe. however, too many moving parts for me to think it would ever work, and I definitely wouldn't have volunteered for ozzy's role.

Even if it does mostly work, there is no way I give the idol to Cochran with the idea he gives it back to ozzy. He's the player I would trust least to keep his end because he knows that he his at the bottom of their 6. Even if ozzy wins the duel, what if they don't merge and then they lose the next challenge. Now they can't vote Cochran out because he has the idol, so they are down to 4 and still have his weak ass around.

Dawn winning immunity is interesting.

Do she and IMU blindside Ozzy?

Old unattractive women should not be allowed to play.

Dawn doesn't think IMU should flip.

Dumb bitch.

She don't drink, she don't smoke, she can't be trusted.

Also, she's probably in HR

it is a bit risky for imu to switch right now...but he's not popular with his own tribe anyway. i guess you gotta make your move...

It was cool.

They fucked with him the entire time. How could it be shocking that IMU f'd them in the a?

I hope IMU outlasts all of his former tribesmates.

i can understand jim's frustration but honestly why would cochran dangle on a pole until they decided to dump him. it's not like he was promised to be taken to the end. cochran was right that he had to make a move for himself. i'm hoping that tribe doesn't screw him for it.

and it looks like that's just what jim wants them to do.

Absolutely terrible play by IMU. For such a Survivor expert, he did not demonstrate the slightest clue that this was a move that was going to completely sink his chances of winning the game. Traitors are never rewarded at the end (see: Neleh, Lill, Twila, and Stephanie), but beyond that they're lucky to even make it one or two votes past their betrayal (see: Jonathan S12 and Candice S20 for a start).

Even if you leave aside the strategy of IMU's move, his actual execution was even worse. He's lucky he didn't get himself Christy'd out of the game with his waffling nonsense. Ozzy's terrible acting obviously didn't convince anyone on the opposing side, but it apparently took the two tribes being merged less than one day for him to completely out the plan. If you're going to start doing things like that, at least keep the idol; Ozzy's not going to be any less angry at him for giving it back.

I never thought I'd say it, but Coach is in the absolute best position in the game right now. He has two loyal goats in Brandon and Edna and a stooge in Rick to keep Albert and Sophie at bay. He can even decide to keep IMU in the game if he thinks he needs a third goat, he seems to have formed the best relationship there. This move sucks for Jim, the one guy on Savaii who had demonstrated some degree of competence at this game. It seems he overestimated the "lifelong fan's" ability to see how dumb it is to flip in that spot.

He did acknowledge it.

I'm 99% certain that he even said that if he flips to the other side, he's killing his chances at the million bucks.

I thought this was a great show tonight. IMU now sits at number 7 on the pecking order of the other tribe rather than giving himself a shot at really winning the million dollars. I dont like the whole drawing rocks thing actually. I liked when they had to make fire and that would determine the person that went home. The choosing of rocks is actually lame and Im pretty sure it never gets to that anyways.

Imu is screwed on this show and thats fine by me.

Can we just go back to calling him Cockstain? I'm pretty sure that's what his dad's real intention was anyway.

I believe Dawn is the only one who said anything like this during the episode about actually killing her chances at the million based on principle. Cochran said something about "possibly costing himself a million bucks" right before tribal but that's the standard kind of hedging everyone does before they make any decision in the game. The thing is there's no possibly about it in this case; he's now completely drawing dead. Additionally, he was still referencing the "promises" Upolu was making him, so I think he was legitimately under the impression that he was putting himself in a better spot with this move

jim's probably the best player in this season; i kinda hope he does make it to the end, even though he gloats about all of his achievements. i give him credit.

imu took a big chance. i'd like to see it work out for him.

the geek shall inherit the earth!

I don't have much else to add to what you guys have already mentioned, other than the fact
that I think I remember Dawn being an English professor or something like that.

:D Just looked her up on the Survivor website... English professor at BYU. She and her husband have
also adopted 5 or 6 kids.

Flannery O'Connor reference! Kudos. That's a great short story.

I love how Dawn was all about being there for Cockstain given how the tribe had treated him, but as soon as Cockstain laid out his plans, she backpedaled. Oh, and cried. Idiot.

Probably because she realized how flipping at that point effectively ends both their games. Wait until F9 when a couple of Upolo have been picked off and then do it together. Now Cochroach has absolutely no leverage over anyone at Upolo and is public enemy number 1 to every single Savaii that made the merge.
