You thought you'd go before Panther? That was unlikely.

This is not a popularity contest, IMUs.

Anyone with two eyes could see that I am really not of any value or a threat to anyone in this game.

Challenge #6

Put these teams in order from highest to lowest scoring for Saturday/Sunday. The longest streak will equal the number of points you get for each sport, and then the sports will all be added up and you'll have a total number of points.

For example, assume you had the teams ranked in this order, and they ended up scoring the number of points in brackets
1 ) Atlanta <27>
2 ) Boston <18>
3 ) Chicago <20>
4 ) Detroit <20>
5 ) Edmonton <45>
6 ) Florida <21>
7 ) Georgia <10>
8 ) Hawaii <16>

In this example, you would get 4 points because the Boston-Edmonton chain is the longest chain where the values are in order. The order can either be increasing or decreasing, and any tie will be counted in the chain.

For each sport that you order correctly for all eight teams, you'll get a 2 point bonus added to your final score.

For each sport, three bonus points will be awarded to the submission with the longest chain. If two players tie for the longest chain in a sport, each will get one and a half bonus points. If three players tie, then each player gets one. If there are four or more that tie for the longest chain, no bonus points will be awarded.

If there are rainouts or some other sort of delay, and they're scheduled to be made up by Monday, then we'll extend the contest to Monday. If they are postponed for a longer reason, then we'll count the affected teams as wildcards within your chain and they can extend the longest chain that you have.

Individual immunity is up for grabs, so these tie-breakers may be important if we end in a tie. In addition, the top three finishers will get an advantage in the next contest.
Tiebreakers:
1) Winner of Penguins/Maple Leafs (NHL)
2) Winner of Stanford/USC (NCAAF)
3) Winner of Cowboys/Eagles (NFL)
4) Total Tebow Passing Yards (Price is Right rules apply)

Entries are due Saturday by noon.

Here are your categories:
* Hockey (games played on Saturday): Toronto, Los Angeles, Dallas, Washington, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Florida, Philadelphia
* NCAA F (games played on Saturday): Oregon, Penn State, Illinois, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Stanford, Wisconsin, Ohio State
* NASCAR (order of finish Sunday): Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski, Greg Biffle, Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Paul Menard
* NFL (games on Sunday): New Orleans, NY Giants, Dallas, Philadelphia, Detroit, Arizona, Washington, Buffalo
* Soccer (games on Sunday): Seattle, Real Salt Lake, Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Philadelphia, Tottenham, QPR
* Horse Racing (Order of Finish - Pocahontas Stakes, Sunday): My Due Process, Taxi Dancer, Bet to Win, Aubby K, Heart of Destiny, Flashy Lassie, Believe You Can, Glinda the Good
(Note: Horse racing chain links are worth 1/2 pt each.)

Submissions to CSFMBSurvivor@gmail.com -- good luck! If you have questions, ask away -- I'll check later tonight and try to provide clarification.

Yea, I've yet to have my morning coffee so I'm a little bit lost as well. Do we rank the teams in each category?

So take hockey for example

Hockey (games played on Saturday): Toronto, Los Angeles, Dallas, Washington, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Florida, Philadelphia

I'm going to rank them in order of the team I think will score the most to the least

1-Dallas
2-Buffalo
3-Toronto
4-Los Angeles
5-Washington
6-Florida
7-Philly
8-Pittsburgh

Now we await the results... let's say it came in like this: Toronto 3 goals; Los Angeles 2; Dallas 2; Washington 2; Pittsburgh 1; Buffalo 5; Florida 3; Philly 1

My chain would look like this:

Dallas - 2
Buffalo - 5
Toronto - 3
Los Angeles - 2
Washington - 2
Florida - 3;
Philly - 1
Pittsburgh - 1

I would get points based on the longest string where the numbers are ordered (ties count.) In this case, the numbers decrease (or remain the same) in Buffalo-Toronto-Los Angeles-Washington. I can't count Dallas because it is less than Buffalo, and can't count Florida, because it is more than Washington. On this chain, I would get 4 points.

I would then do this same exercise for the other sports listed.

Does that make more sense?

Yeah, this is definitely the last hurrah for it. I did have one contestant apologize that he didn't have any time to spend on this which was genuine and I can understand that happening.

My next concern is not to have the jury filled with people who totally aren't paying attention and voting at random. :)

That sucks. You put alot of work into this Newper and it is appreciated. Its our own fault for voting out strong participating players early.

Hmmm... that's not a terrible idea -- a contest for those that were voted off -- the winner gets to get back in the game -- thinking about it....

With Hockey and NCAA Football done, Northside Dan has the lead with 14.5 points, followed by sjboyd with 9.5, and the rest of the field has 6 points.

I will gladly give up my spot to Peeps or Jorr if you wanna do something that way.

Nah I'm good.

I got voted out.

If no one else makes it to the jury, I'm more than happy to be the sole arbiter as to the winner.

Results are in -- taking it this week is Northside Dan with 27 points. 2nd place was douchebag with 25, 3rd was sjboyd with 24.5, then jackref with 18.5, IMU with 17.5 and finally 16.5.

Please submit votes by 7pm on Tuesday - hidden idols played by 9pm.

Who is all still in? Has there been any more strikeouts since a bunch missed submitting picks over the weekend?

That's a good point... Ivan is the only one who is booted with a third strike.

You can vote for
IMU
Panther
Hawg Ass
sjboyd
jackref
RFDC
douchebag
RPB

Northside Dan has immunity this round, but he is still in the game.

I did enjoy how Douchebag and I were the only ones to label the horse racing category as 'Horseys' when we submitted our picks.
