ben foster, absolutely.

Have you seen The Messenger? I'm about halfway through it right now and it's slow but really good. A dialogue film where actors really get to show off their skills.

but just generally, about natalie portman...i think she's aptly rated. but you're dead on about ben foster. guy has been a great actor for over a decade and never gets the love.

and btw, you didn't mean samantha morton did you?

No. I just think Portman has been really good before Swan and she wasn't much better in that than many of her other roles.

I think Foster outshines Crowe and Bale in 3:10.

i've always been a portman fan, christ, going back to the days of "leon". but i think she's gotten a lot of acclaim throughout her career.

she's gorgeous and can act. it's a rarity.

i will try and get my hands on "the messenger" when i can. it looks good.

Ben Foster is great in 'Pandorum'... Also in the movie 11:14 where he loses his wee wee... '11:14' pretty underrated film in its own right. Rachel Leigh Cook is soooooooo smoking in it as well.

Also, Idk if he's underrated in Europe, but Mads Mikkelson has done some great work if anyone has time to check out the movies Pusha 2 (Silly title, but trust me it is hilarious, suspenseful, and unforgiving), Flame & Citron (Great ww2 film about danish resistance fighters. I was really blown away by acting of whole cast), Or Valhalla Rising (Brutal barbarian warrior story. Really impressive twist @ thend. One scene though I think could have gone missing in the editing room IMO. You'll understand what I'm saying, if you watch it.
