Just read the 'do tell' thread. Vintage MJH! This thread mirrors their show...to much talk about them and nothing about real issues I'd like to hear about. I like them but..talk substance a bit more, especially when your main competition is not on due to baseball coverage... Now it's 6:28pm(wed) and I want to dig into the last meaty segment of time on their show..Mac says something along the lines that they will discuss something that 95% of the city is discussing(Ok maybe Imus or...what...it should still be compelling) and then........Some dribble begins about Harry's daughter. I listened for 3 seconds and Switched Over. Well..8 shows in a row with all 3 still there! Can they make it to double digits? Guys please hit some relavant topics hard ok. I'd die to hear that.

I agree, I wish Mac would talk about:

How he got a job for his son at the radio station.

Mike North's controversial baseball field dedication which never took place.

A naked Fred Huebner in Eddie Olczyk's arms.

Ann Maxfield's year of graduation at Notre Dame.

How his wife is saving the lives of inbred dogs across Chicagoland.

His bowling partner Doo Koo Kim.

...or the size of his kids' skull cavities in respect to their height.

When the name of the show is MAC, Jurko and Harry - I'm sure we're going to hear about their lives every now and again.

It's just too bad that their show is only on at 6:28 and only for 32 minutes. Maybe if it were longer they'd hit the "hard" topics. They should have at least been talking more about Imus...

I'm not real certain what it is you're saying, xstyle. If you don't want to hear us talk about our lives, I might suggest to you to take a pass on the unplugged hour. It's there where most of the personal stuff gets center stage. I thought Harry's daughter being told "no television for a week" was an interesting topic... one to which everybody could relate whether they have kids or not.

You want something "meaty?" It's an entertainment program, pallie... and often times WE are going to be the subject. When you don't like it, punch the button like you did Wednesday and come back once you've gotten your meat somewhere else and it nearly put you to sleep.

That's the one thing i like about the show. I listen to radio all day long, the Mikes, the morons and patrick. They all hit the same topics and it's great to hear about man stuff once 4pm hits. When i talk with my friends, we talk about live stories and sports topics, rarley do i care about Imus, arrests, contract issues. Those things come up when no sports is being played. Break down games and give me what coaches should have and would have done if they had another chance.
By the by, I would listen to more of the show if it was earlier, but my fiance only can listen to one fat, chicago talking spots guy not four. So, they get the mute button when she walks into the office.

It's also still April, a lot of games have been snowed out- there is not a ton of things to talk about- so instead of repeating over & over Imus or whomever, I'll take the diversion......
