Yes, I laugh. Its funny because its a cartoon making fun of that sort of thing.

I dont think its hypocritical to be a little less amused when the joke is about a real life subject

I havent really been into South Park for a long time. But that sounds like something that could happen. I guess a totally made up character with no connections to real life is different to me. If they made some jokes in the next episode about how Herbert loves Penn State or is applying for a job there, then I think that would be in bad taste.

He's funny because the humor is funny, and jokes are meant to be funny.

It has nothing to do with the difference of "real life" or "cartoons". Or being hypoctrical. Or feeling bad because you found something funny.

Humor is humor, and derives from real life situations. Otherwise nobody would ever get the joke.

You should never feel bad about laughing.

Thats an interesting and possibly annoying thing they do in pretty much every episode. Somtimes its hilarious but I could see it annoying too.

True, but it took all of the ugliness to actually happen in order for the jokes to make sense later.

If the Nazi's were just a non-factor in history, then making jokes about them simply wouldn't make any sense.
