I've only seen Zodiac and I Heart Huckabees. Liked them both. Wahlberg was funny in the latter. time to check netflix.

I thought Observe and Report sucked.

A few of those films made critics' top lists the years they came out. IDK about "Under the Radar". In particular I'm thinking of 1, 4 & 5.

it's not for everybody. i mentioned that in both my review and in the list.

one movie i hope more people see is "moon". it's really a shame rockwell didn't get any recognition for that film.

angus - apparently you didn't read the disclaimer i put in the beginning of the column.

pretty much all films are seen by critics so even lesser known films wind up on critics' top ten lists. that doesn't mean they were hits, and these films rarely seem to get mentioned that much in "pop" culture.

As you said, who listens to critics anymore?

I'm not sure how under the radar "The Messenger" and "Biutiful" are, but I never hear anyone talk about either one and they are two of my favorite movies from recent memory.

I wanted to machine gun every character in "Igby Goes Down." I suppose that's the point like Ben Stiller's titular character in "Greenberg," which is quite possibly the most nauseating portrayal of a human being on celluloid.

hahaha, i actually had no interest in "greenberg". it just looked dull to me. "igby" entertains the hell out of me. especially goldblum's total asswipe character. you're not really supposed to like them that much anyway.
