Knew Jimmy was going to kill that old fuck as soon as he Jimmy with the cane. Eli the sniveling ass crawls back to Nuck, predictable but the fight was awesome.

Yeah, that and bludgeoning that toadstool in his garage was pretty crazy.

Boring episode. Guess you need these every so often to set up the better ones.

Good episode last night, this season has been very good. I don't want it to end.

Decent episode, not a lot of action. I like that Jimmy is becoming somewhat of a badass and
I didn't see his wife turning lesbo happening. I like it though.

Jimmy's wife was hooking up with another women in the first season too. Remember when he beat the shit out of the photographer because Jimmy thought he was the one his wife was cheating with?

I loved Rothstein's line about the manure, knowing full well the kind his guys were shoveling at him.

This show is becoming quite the Soprano's substitute for my Sunday night, HBO-viewing pleasure. It's getting better and better.

William Forsythe is killing it as the Jewish dude. I love how he uses "boychic" when referring to Jimmy, to try and keep the upper hand like Jimmy is just a little kid. Cool dynamic brewing there, as the balcony scene was really good, especially when Jimmy pushed that giggling idiot over it.

Appears as if we might get more T-bone. Jimmy's wife found another playmate.

I have the same feeling watching it. The story progesses but it feels like it stays the same.

I dunno, I get the feeling that nothing is happening a lot more from Treme, although I guess in that case very little does actually happen. I've thought the past two episodes have been great and I agree with Ed_from_Lisle that it's really hit its stride this season. I loved the scenes of Rothstein, Torio, and Nucky plotting, McGarrigle's assassination, and Manny thwarting the attempt on his life.

Another good episode. I couldn't believe the end, I didn't see that coming at all. Jimmy is
gonna be a broken man when he finds out about his wife.

I suspect he is going to be born again hard. I think Manny's death will be slow and painful.

No doubt. I will be sorry to see this series leave us in 2 weeks. Between this and The Walking Dead
leaving us I am going to be missing my quality Sunday evening shows.

That was a pretty wild episode, I can't believe he slept with his mother. Crazy. That explains quite a
bit actually. Next week looks very interesting.

Yeah, Jimmy's mom definitely has some issues going on. I'm shocked she didn't take the same knife that the Commodore ended up getting. The finale should be something...

Yeah, I was waiting for that to happen, that skank is a crafty sociopath. You saw it when she came to visit Jimmy in college, boozing it when he had an essay to write, talking to his dorm people, digging for dirt and tagging along to his dance. She really showed her colors when she targeted his teacher and faked being "roughed up" by his teacher so she could have her guy/son Jimmy beat the shit out of him and be forced to come home. Now that may have been a total accident, but having watched the show and seeing her character....I believe that she plans most things out to benefit her etc etc. Just listen to her talk to Jimmy about his dead wife/wife's lover so non-chalantly, she has some screws loose, but she is a wily slut.

Of course the total tell was Jimmy being in his reading class and explaining what the book passage meant when the other students were in the dark....
--"His mom was telling him the wrong things...he was so close he could taste it" etc. Kinda like whats been going on throughout this whole season concerning Jimmy, mother and the business.

Everyone's been waiting for the incest scene since early last season. The most anti-climactic incest scene in the history of incest scenes. I wonder if Van Alden's plot is running its course and the actor is leaving the show. The way the left the episode doesn't leave much open for his character besides prison. I find his whole humorless dour self-righteousness to be the most amusing part of the show.

Good finale; I was worried they wouldn't be able to cover enough in 60 minutes but I thought it wrapped things up nicely. Jimmy absolutely had to go at this point in the story, and I can't believe I have seen so many mixed/negative reviews in denial about this. Jimmy and Nucky could not simply kiss and make up at this point in time, and even if Nucky didn't buy Eli's story, he's far more easily controlled/duped. Margaret giving the land to the church was pretty funny and Van Alden moving to Capone's future headquarters is an interesting development.

My problem is that we are left with no real protagonist. The show had very few likable characters before that finale. But both Jimmy and Nucky had a sense of honor buried way down deep inside them so the viewer could root for one or the other. Now there is no Jimmy and Nucky has gone from complicated to downright evil. At least that's how I see it. I'll still probably watch though.
