What ever will the Bears do without the pigmy version of Jared Allen?

His only good move was timing the snap count, a move he failed at 9 times out of 10. Bring back Gholston!

A little off topic here, but I googled to see if Nick was a Bears draft pick this year. I found a link to an ESPN page with the grades on the people the Bears drafted in 2011. I'd say Conte has well exceeded this grade, although one might argue he was drafted too early:

Round: 3, Pick: 29 (Overall: 93)

Chris Conte, S, California Conte appears to add versatility in the secondary and a potential contributor on special teams. Having spent his first three seasons at California as a cornerback, Conte moved to safety as a senior and became a first-team all-Pac-10 performer. The Bears aren't concerned about Conte's inexperience at safety because that only adds to his upside. -- MW

I thought Nick was a "high motor guy". I think it's racism.
This new guy is more of a "run stopper". Yeah, like THAT is
in high demand in this years version of the NFL.

Where would he play in a 3-4 scheme?

I don't care about the Bears. I want to know where he would play if he were to be in a 3-4 scheme in the future.

Isn't this the guy Ruskell brought in because he knew him from his Seattle days? Nice first pickup.

I had to do my own damn research. He played DE and some ILB early on at Oregon. He is only 6'1 250. 40 yd time was 4.76. He would be a linebacker in the 3-4.

Erik Walden sucks and Frank Zombo can't stay on the field. Mr. Thompson may be evaluating this guy as a pass rush specialist opposite Clay.
